This role delivers insights that improve trade spending effectiveness, forecast accuracy, pricing decisions, and customer profitability. Working closely with Sales, Finance, and Logistics, the position helps optimize revenue growth, strengthen financial controls, and expand the Sleeman portfolio across the assigned sales region.Responsibilities\nRevenue Analysis & Business Insights\nAnalyze sales volume, revenue, and trade investment performance against budget and forecast by SKU, brand family, and customer segment.\nIdentify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to improve revenue, profitability, and expense management.\nPrepare and deliver monthly sales and financial performance reports to support sales meetings and business decision-making.\nConduct profitability analysis for customers, partners, and promotional programs.\nForecasting, Budgeting & Financial Planning\nDevelop and maintain monthly provincial sales volume and financial forecasts in partnership with Sales and Logistics.\nSupport annual planning activities, including budget development for revenue, sales volume, trade promotion spending, and departmental cost centres.\nProvide financial analysis and forecasting support for new product introductions, business cases, and gross margin evaluations.\nMonitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and recommend corrective actions where required.\nTrade Investment & Customer Profitability Management\nManage provincial trade promotion investments, including accruals, expense tracking, authorizations, and detailed financial analysis.\nPartner with Key Account Managers to identify cost savings opportunities and improve customer profitability.\nDevelop customer profit and loss analyses and provide recommendations to optimize trade spending allocation and return on investment.\nSupport pricing and promotional initiatives through financial modeling and scenario analysis.\nSales Support & Analytical Tools\nCreate financial models, contract analyses, and negotiation support tools to assist sales teams in customer agreement discussions.\nDevelop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that improve visibility into sales and financial performance.\nTrack and report regional budget performance across customer groups and channels.\nProjects, Controls & Continuous Improvement\nLead or participate in cross-functional projects related to pricing, returns management, profitability reporting, and process improvements.\nIdentify sales revenue control risks and develop monitoring processes and control plans to mitigate exposure.\nCollaborate with Finance and Sales stakeholders to strengthen reporting capabilities, improve data quality, and enhance decision-making processes.\nPerform other related duties as required.\nSkills and Qualifications (Required)\nPost-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting within a sales or commercial environment.\nCPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification.\nStrong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience developing financial models, forecasts, budgets, and profitability analyses.\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.\nAbility to build effective working relationships across Sales, Finance, Logistics, and other business functions.\nFamiliarity with customer relationship management, business intelligence, or enterprise resource planning systems; experience with tools such as Oracle, Microsoft CRM, or similar platforms is considered an asset.\nKnowledge of the beverage alcohol industry, trade investment management, and customer profitability analysis is considered an asset.\nDemonstrated commitment to values and behaviours aligned with the organization's culture.\nWork Environment (Hybrid/Onsite) \nThis is a Hybrid role that combines in-office and remote work.
