Individually and together, our employees are dedicated to satisfying the mission of our organization which is an unwavering commitment to excellence as we care for the sick and injured; educate physicians, nurses and other health care providers; and improve access to care in the communities we serve, regardless of a patient's ability to pay for health care.\nThe Environmental Services Supervisor position consists in effectively coordinating employees, work and performance expectations in order to comply with the goals and mission of the Environmental Services Department.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMaintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.\nComplies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.\nDemonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).\nDemonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.\nDemonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.\nComplies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.\nDemonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.\nInterviews prospective Environmental Services aides and makes selection for hire.\nEvaluates Environmental Services aides for work quality, quantity and performance of work schedule, making adjustments when needed to insure consistent quality cleaning.\nAdministers annual performance evaluations for Environmental Services aides.\nPHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:\nSits for up to 1-3 hours/day; one hour at a time. Stands for 1-8 hours/day; 1 to 4 hours at a time. Walks for up to 7-8 hours/day; 1 to 4 hours at a time. Occasional handling. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional carrying up to 25 lbs.; rarely up to 50 lbs. Occasional pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.; rarely up to 75 lbs. Occasionally stoop, bend, squat, kneel and reaches above shoulder level. Rarely climbs ladder up to 10 feet. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and seeing as it relates to general and near vision.\nEDUCATION:\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalency required.\nTRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:\nMinimum of two (2) to three (3) years experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institution setting and one (1) to two (2) years supervisory experience in housekeeping preferred.
