That’s where you come in.\nThe Challenge to Solve\nSlice’s DevEx Platform teams build and evolve the internal developer platform, GitOps workflows, Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling that power engineering across Slice. We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead the DevEx team, who can help raise the bar for reliability, security, and operational excellence. Measure success by improved deployment velocity, system reliability, platform adoption, and developer productivity-not just features shipped or tools built.\nLead technical direction\nGuide architecture and technical strategy across our Internal Developer Platform, deployment workflows, and cloud infrastructure. Help the team build reusable patterns, self-service tooling, and strong guardrails that make the right thing the easy thing.\nYou should be comfortable leading teams working with:\nKubernetes, Docker, AWS, and cloud-native architecture.\nArgoCD & GitOps principles for safe, scalable application delivery.\nPython for internal tooling, automation, and infrastructure management.\nGitHub Actions & CI/CD pipeline automation.\nNetwork architecture, DNS, Cloudflare. \nDatadog (dashboards, metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) and Terraform.\nGenerative AI tools to develop and deploy applications, including agentic applications/services using LLM APIs\nBuild a highly effective team\nGive platform engineers context, clear decision boundaries, and meaningful ownership. Encourage an automation-first mindset, reducing toil and creating scalable self-service capabilities.\nRaise execution standards\nHelp the team deliver platform improvements frequently and safely. Standardize workflows, improve observability, and embed operational excellence into everyday development.\nDevelop exceptional people\nHire, coach, and retain outstanding platform and software engineers.
