You’ll coordinate quotations, customer enquiries, purchasing and day-to-day administration, working closely with colleagues, customers and suppliers to turn opportunities into delivered services. Your support will enable the Technical Services Manager to focus on technical delivery, customer relationships and growing the business, whilst promoting the Slicker workplace values. We are Smart, Honestand Reliable, working Togetherwhilst having Fun.\nPart time, 24 hours per week, over 4 / 5 days, Monday to Friday.\nMain tasks and responsibilities will include:\nSales & Quotation Support:\nTurn customer enquiries into opportunities by preparing and following up quotations, gathering supplier costs and helping produce drainage maps and survey reports.\nCustomer Liaison:\nBe a helpful point of contact for customers, understanding their requirements, arranging meetings and site visits, and keeping them informed as enquiries progress.\nPurchasing & Equipment:\nHelp the team get what they need, when they need it - sourcing prices, managing purchase orders and tracking deliveries of equipment and materials.\nTechnical Services Administration:\nKeep things running smoothly by coordinating works, maintaining accurate records and supporting reports, invoicing queries and job completion.\nTeam Support:\nWork alongside our Technical Services Manager, engineers and wider teams, taking ownership of everyday coordination and administration while building your technical services knowledge.\nApplying the Slicker values to your role, “People rarely succeed unless they have Fun in what they are doing.”\nWhat we are looking for\nThe successful candidate will be:\nExperienced in sales, sales administration, customer service or commercial support.\nOrganised and proactive, able to manage competing priorities and take ownership of tasks through to completion.\nA confident communicator, building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.\nCommercially aware, with an understanding of pricing, margins and converting enquiries into sales.\nAccurate and detail-focused, with good Microsoft Office and Excel skills.\nA practical, solutions-focused team player, comfortable working independently and adapting to changing priorities.\nWilling to learn, with an interest in developing technical services knowledge.\nDesirable, but not essential:\nExperience preparing quotations, purchasing or managing suppliers.\nFamiliarity with CRM, CAFM or similar business systems.\nA background in waste management, environmental services, engineering, drainage or facilities management, or an understanding of interceptor and drainage services.\nSlicker Recycling is an equal opportunities employer and will continue to ensure it offers career opportunities without discrimination.
