You'll own engineering change orders (ECOs) from release through full implementation on the robot. That means understanding what's changing, building the work instructions, and making sure the production team can build it right. You'll spend time with engineering learning what's coming down the pipeline, and time on the floor seeing how builds are actually flowing. Then you'll bring what you learn back to engineering so we keep getting better.\nThis is a hands-on, individual contributor role for someone who's comfortable reading a drawing in the morning and walking the line in the afternoon. Robotics experience is not required.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn engineering change orders end-to-end and guide each change from engineering release into production and onto the robot.\nWork with the engineering team to understand upcoming design changes and new equipment, and assess how they'll affect production.\nCreate clear work instructions for new designs, components, and equipment, and train production associates on updated build processes.\nInterpret design drawings and CAD models to define assembly steps, operating flows, and equipment layouts. Contribute design work where needed.\nSpend time on the production floor watching build flow, finding bottlenecks, and gathering feedback from the production team.\nBring production insights back to engineering with concrete suggestions to improve manufacturability, reduce build time, and show how new equipment will save time.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) as designs move from prototype to production.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.\nExperience in an assembly manufacturing environment.\nExperience managing or implementing engineering change orders.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.\nExperience writing work instructions and training production teams.\nStrong communicator who can translate engineering intent into floor-ready processes, and production feedback into engineering action.\nNice to Have:\nSolidWorks or other CAD design experience.\nExperience launching new products into production.\nFamiliarity with machine shop and metal fabrication processes.\nExperience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., NetSuite).\nStartup or fast-paced, ambiguous environment experience.\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary and equity in an early-stage robotics company\nComprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision\nPermissive time off policy\nA small team where your work has direct, visible impact on shipped products\nSlip Robotics is an equal opportunity employer.
