We are Making Sustainability Happen.\nAs our new Associate Environmental Geologist/Engineer/Scientist, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.\nRole\nSLR International Corporation is seeking an Associate Environmental Geologist/Engineer/Scientist to join our Anchorage, Alaska operations. The candidate selected for this role will work within our Alaska Land Quality and Remediation Technical Discipline, assisting with a variety of functions related to contaminated site investigation and remediation. Preferable candidates will have experience in consulting and/or industry, preferably focused on Alaska projects. Positions in the Anchorage office also provide great opportunities for growth and gaining broad experience in site investigation and cleanup, environmental permitting and compliance, and air quality.\nResponsibilities:\nWork with clients from a variety of industries\n\nCollect groundwater, surface water, and soil samples\n\nReview State, Federal, and Local regulations for applicability to site cleanup\n\nAssist other SLR teams with work in a variety of disciplines including air monitoring, waste management, permitting, and compliance\n\nTravel to clients' facilities for inspections and document review\n\nWork within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments\n\nWorking @ SLR\nWith us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge. advancement\n\nQualifications/Education/Memberships:\nBachelor in Geology, Engineering, or a similar physical science degree\n\n6+ years of relevant work experience\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nStrong analytical skills, organizational, and multitasking skills\n\nAbility to solve basic calculations and unit conversions\n\nExperience presenting analytical results in tabular and graphical forms\n\nProficient with Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)\n\nWilling to commit to field assignments of up to two weeks away from Anchorage\n\nPossess valid driver’s license\n\nPreferred Technical Skills and Experience\nPFAS remediation\n\nMS Degree in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science\n\nGroundwater, surface water, and soil sampling experience\n\nSkill/experience conducting hazardous materials surveys and sampling.\n\nExperience in technical writing\n\nOSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification\n\nUnderstanding of
