We celebrate a ‘One Team Culture’, where bringing together diversity of thought and expression is key to building the best team to deliver excellent results.\nTo help deliver a strong pipeline of work we have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Planner to join our team in Queensland.\nSpecifically, we are looking for a Town Planning Super Star, with 10 to 15 years’ experience working across the energy, construction materials, or infrastructure sectors.\nClient facing consulting experience would be beneficial but not essential if you have experience in managing large complex multidisciplinary projects.\nWhile our APAC Planning team is made up of a group of 60+ highly skilled statutory and environmental planners, our QLD team, predominantly located in Brisbane, is made up of 13 planners who share an enthusiastic approach to life and work, creating a supportive team environment that is very eager to welcome new team members.\nWe collaborate closely with our 23 in-house practices to deliver a comprehensive service to clients across various sectors. In this role you will enjoy collaborative working with industry leading professionals across the APAC SLR community.\nResponsibilities\nNo two days are often the same but general responsibilities will include:\nManaging the delivery of planning approvals of varying levels of complexity\nDelivering planning analysis and research via a commercially astute lens to confidently deliver exceptional results\nProject Managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors\nDeveloping, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members, particularly, across other technical disciplines\nWorking closely with the team lead to drive team and company growth\nConducting thorough technical reviews and mentoring / development of junior staff\nLiaising with clients, councils, consultants & other government agencies\nUsing your expertise to work across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environment\nBusiness development and high-level client relationship management\nExperience\nNot only will you bring a great attitude and enthusiastic approach to your work, you will also have:\nA degree in Town Planning or equivalent\nA proven record in delivering client outcomes\nExperience in the preparation and delivery of planning advice and DAs, with an understanding of both environmental and land use planning permits highly regarded\nDemonstrated experience coordinating and managing multidisciplinary projects\nA thorough understanding of project budgets and deliverables while maintaining excellent client service that we are known for\nStrong attention to detail\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work unsupervised as well as part of a team\nAbility to take the initiative and be proactive in your workplace and implement new ideas\nOur Benefits\nWe are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
