This is a permanent full-time role initially based in our Leederville office, with a transition to be based out of SLR Consulting’s Subiaco office, next year.\nIt’s a role that spans frontend, backend, APIs, and spatial data, with real input into technical design decisions.\nYou’ll work on one of two core products:\nTytonAI: ML engine for high-resolution flora and vegetation classification from aerial and satellite imagery\nTytonIQ: Ecological analytics platform for condition monitoring, rehabilitation tracking, and biodiversity reporting\nKey Responsibilities\nCollaborate with and support your team members\nDesign, build and ship features across the full stack, including cloud infrastructure as code\nWrite clean, tested, maintainable code\nContribute to infrastructure and architecture decisions (GCP, Kubernetes, Pulumi, PostgreSQL)\nContribute to the ongoing evolution of our processes and systems to leverage AI tools\nTech Stack\nFrontend: React, TypeScript\nBackend: C#, Go, Python\nInfrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes (GKE), Pulumi\nDatabase: PostgreSQL + PostGIS\nOther: Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD\nSkills and Experience\nAt least 3 years of experience working in Agile software delivery\nStrong React and TypeScript frontend experience\nFull stack background with Typescript as well as Go, C#, or Python, and comfortable picking up whatever the work demands\nSolid grasp of API design, scalable architecture, and cloud infrastructure\nReal automated testing discipline\nGenuinely curious: you enjoy learning new languages, frameworks, and tools\nExperience using AI agents in your development workflow and opinions on how to get the most out of them\nDesirable\nBackground in/exposure to environmental or scientific domains\nExperience with geospatial or remote sensing data\nOur Benefits\nA technical role with meaningful ownership of core ML systems\nFast innovation cycle from idea → experiment → production \nReal-world ML problems at meaningful scale \nCompetitive salary + flexible hybrid work \nSmall, high-calibre team with real product influence \nPerth-based, practical, focused, low-ego culture\nundefined\nNext Steps\nThe problems here are genuinely interesting.
