We are Making Sustainability Happen.\nAs our newInstrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for stamping drawings and schematics, contributing to backfill plant design, commissioning instrumentation and industrial control systems and providing technical leadership and mentorship to staff within the team. You’ll play a key role on our busy and growing Sudbury team.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide E&I engineering technical support, working with teams to deliver solutions\nPrepare design deliverables, including datasheets, process control, diagrams, plot plans, control schematics, and engineering work packages, including installation details, control panel design, and termination details\nDefine the scope of work, budget and schedule along with the team\nConduct detailed reviews and authenticate deliverables\nParticipate in project meetings between engineering, project management, operations, and clients\nExtensive experience leading and delivering instrumentation and controls engineering within mining or heavy industrial sectors\nStrong expertise in PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, and process automation platforms\nProven ability to develop control narratives, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and I/O lists\nExperience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational support in industrial environments\nStrong understanding of safety systems, hazardous area classification, and applicable codes and standards\nAbility to lead complex projects and mentor junior staff while maintaining high technical excellence\nWorking @ SLR\nWith us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge.
