This role ensures the physical work environment meets operational requirements, safety standards, and supports employee welfare through effective facility management and vendor coordination during the critical startup phase and ongoing operations.\nThis role requires a highly adaptable and hands-on leader capable of supporting both facility operations and maintenance activities in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment.\nWhat You'll Do:\nFacility Startup & Setup:\nEstablish and manage the initial war room for PA site operations coordination\nSupport all facility buildout activities including space planning, furniture procurement, and equipment installation\nCoordinate technology infrastructure setup (IT, telecommunications, security systems)\nEnsure facility is production-ready according to manufacturing timeline requirements\nEmployee Amenities & Welfare:\nDesign and implement cafeteria facilities, including vendor selection and service management\nEstablish locker rooms, break areas, and employee welfare facilities meeting manufacturing workforce needs\nManage hygiene facilities, first aid stations, and employee comfort amenities\nCoordinate employee shuttle services, parking management, and access control systems\nFacilities Operations Management:\nSupervise daily facility operations including cleaning, maintenance, grounds keeping, and waste management\nManage facility service contracts and vendor relationships (janitorial, security, catering, maintenance)\nOversee building management systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection)\nEnsure adequate inventory of facility supplies, consumables, and maintenance materials\nCoordinate mail services, reception areas, and visitor management protocols\nManufacturing Equipment & Maintenance Support:\nSupport startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of manufacturing equipment and plant infrastructure systems\nCoordinate and participate in preventative and corrective maintenance activities for production support equipment, compressed air systems, HVAC, cranes/hoists, and facility utilities\nAssist in developing maintenance schedules, standard operating procedures, and equipment service documentation\nMaintain maintenance records and support implementation of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)\nRespond to urgent equipment and facility issues to minimize operational downtime during startup and ramp-up phases\nPerform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in coordination with production, engineering, and external service providers\nSupport spare parts inventory management and critical equipment readiness\nParticipate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and plant uptime\nPartner with manufacturing and engineering teams to support facility modifications, equipment installations, and layout changes as production evolves\nPromote and maintain 5S standards, equipment housekeeping, and safe maintenance practices throughout the facility\nSafety & Compliance:\nCollaborate closely with EHS Manager to ensure facility compliance with OSHA requirements, building codes, and fire safety regulations\nCoordinate facility safety inspections and maintain required certifications\nEnsure manufacturing and office environments meet all regulatory requirements for production operations and local regulations\nCross-Functional Coordination:\nWork closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams on factory startup requirements\nSupport production needs for facility modifications, layout changes, and infrastructure improvements\nCoordinate with HR on workspace planning and employee onboarding facility requirements\nPartner with EHS team on facility safety programs and compliance initiatives\nVendor & Budget Management:\nNegotiate contracts with facility service providers and equipment suppliers\nManage facility operations budget and track expenditures\nProcess invoices and purchase orders for facility-related expenses\nConduct vendor performance evaluations and manage service level agreements\nContinuous Improvement:\nIdentify opportunities for facility efficiency improvements and cost optimization\nDevelop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.• Gather employee feedback on facility services and implement improvements\nLead sustainability initiatives for energy efficiency and waste reduction\nWhat You'll Bring:\nEducation:\nAssociate degree or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering technology, construction management, industrial maintenance, or a related field.\nExperience:\n5-7 years of experience in facilities management, operations, or related roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.\nExperience with greenfield site setup or new facility launches.\nBackground in manufacturing facility operations and production support.\nProven track record managing multiple vendor relationships and contracts.\nExperience with building management systems and facility automation.\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety requirements.\nProject management experience for facility improvement initiativesExperience supporting manufacturing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial environment\nExperience implementing preventative maintenance programs and maintenance tracking systems\nAbility to respond to after-hours maintenance or facility emergencies when required\n\nTechnical Skills:\nMicrosoft Office Suite, MS Teams, attendance and security technology, HVAC knowledge.\nExperience with Lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.\nKnowledge of sustainability and energy management practices.\nBasic mechanical and electrical diagnostic knowledge.\nExperience with CMMS or maintenance tracking software.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability in manufacturing environments.\nBehavioral Competencies:\nMust be able to walk, stand, and inspect facility and production areas throughout the day.Ability to climb ladders and stairs to access building systems and equipment.\nOccasional lifting up to 50 lbs may be required for facility operations.\nMust be comfortable working in manufacturing environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.\nAbility to respond to facility emergencies outside of regular business hours when needed.\nMust comply with all plant
