This individual will be responsible for the integrity of financial reporting, accounting practices, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial management.\nWhat you'll do:\nOversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), billing, payroll, job costing, and revenue recognition.\nManage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.\nPrepare, review, and publish monthly financial statements.\nParticipate in ECAC meetings and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data prior to closing the period.\nVerify that ECAC outputs and financial statements reconcile and align from an analytical perspective.\nEnsure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts prior to submission of financial statements.\nOversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting.\nMonitor project costs, revenue recognition, and job profitability.\nCollaborate with the corporate accounting team to report financial results and provide financial analysis.\nOversee cash flow management and working capital.\nLead forecasting and budget analysis and assist operations with the annual budgeting process.\nImplement company-issued accounting policies and practices to minimize risk.\nEnsure accuracy and quality control over financial transactions, reporting, and data tagging.\nPrepare and submit all local sales and use tax filings.\nAssist with annual audits and perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.\nWhat you'll bring to the table:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.\nMinimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end and year-end close responsibilities.\nConstruction industry experience preferred.\nStrong knowledge of general ledger functions, financial reporting, and accounting principles.\nExperience with job costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting, and revenue recognition.\nProficiency in local sales and use tax filings.\nExperience with Great Plains or a comparable ERP/accounting system.\nStrong understanding of month-end and year-end close procedures.\nExceptional knowledge of accounting software and its administration.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.\nProactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nWhy you'll love working with us:\nWe believe that a fulfilling career goes beyond just a paycheck.
