Mission\nAs Purchaser, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Smart High Tech has the suppliers, materials, equipment, and partnerships required to support our rapid growth.\nYou will work closely with Production, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Management while building and managing supplier relationships across Europe and Asia.\nA significant part of the role involves collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers in China, making experience from Chinese business environments highly valuable.\nWhat You'll Do\nSourcing & Procurement\nDevelop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.\n\nIdentify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard suppliers globally.\n\nManage supplier contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and commercial agreements.\n\nContinuously improve supplier performance, quality, cost, and reliability.\n\nSupplier Development & Relationship Management\nBuild strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers and manufacturing partners.\n\nConduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews.\n\nWork proactively to reduce supply chain risks and dependencies.\n\nSupport supplier quality and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nChina & International Sourcing\nManage sourcing activities and supplier relationships across China and Asia.\n\nCoordinate procurement activities with international manufacturing partners.\n\nSupport negotiations, supplier visits, and commercial discussions.\n\nNavigate cultural and business differences effectively.\n\nSupply Chain & Manufacturing Support\nEnsure availability of critical materials, equipment, and components.\n\nSupport production scale-up initiatives and future factory expansion projects.\n\nCollaborate closely with Operations, Production, and Quality teams.\n\nContribute to inventory optimisation and supply planning activities.\n\nRisk Management\nMonitor market developments, supplier risks, and geopolitical factors.\n\nDevelop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.\n\nStrengthen supply chain resilience and operational continuity.\n\nWho You Are\nYou are a commercially minded professional who enjoys building relationships, negotiating agreements, and solving complex supply chain challenges.\nYou thrive in international environments and understand the importance of balancing cost, quality, delivery, and long-term partnerships.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.\n\nSeveral years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management.\n\nExperience working with international suppliers and manufacturers.\n\nStrong negotiation and commercial management skills.\n\nExperience managing supplier relationships and contracts.\n\nExcellent communication skills in English.\n\nHighly Meritorious\nExperience working directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners in China.\n\nMandarin language skills (spoken and/or written).\n\nExperience within:\nAdvanced Manufacturing\n\nElectronics\n\nSemiconductor Industry\n\nAdvanced Materials\n\nIndustrial
