You will work across frontend development, backend integration and cloud deployments, taking ownership of delivering high-quality applications to production.\n\nThis is a hands-on engineering role within a small team, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to product development, improve application performance and strengthen engineering practices. You will independently manage deployments, solve technical challenges and contribute to the ongoing maturity and growth of the platform.\n\nThe ideal candidate is a strong frontend engineer who is equally comfortable working with backend integrations, AWS, Docker and CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on building reliable, secure and maintainable applications.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop and maintain secure admin portals and dashboards using React, TypeScript and Next.js\n\nBuild and maintain native Next.js applications using App Router, server components, middleware and API routes\n\nImplement and maintain server-side authentication and contribute to improving role-based access control (RBAC)\n\nDevelop and maintain automated frontend tests using Vitest, React Testing Library and Playwright\n\nManage CI/CD pipelines and independently deploy applications using GitHub Actions, Docker and AWS\n\nIntegrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services, including server-side API gateways\n\nIndependently troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and application-related issues\n\nContribute to frontend performance optimisation, application quality and reliable production delivery\n\nParticipate in technical discussions, challenge existing approaches constructively and propose practical improvements\n\nContribute to product development, identify technical gaps and support improvements to platform maturity\n\nReview AI-assisted code and take ownership of its quality, correctness and integration\n\nRequirements\n\nStrong professional experience developing frontend applications using React and TypeScript\n\nDeep hands-on experience with native Next.js, including App Router, server components, server-side authentication, API routes and middleware\n\nProfessional experience building and maintaining admin portals and dashboards\n\nHands-on experience implementing frontend automated testing using Vitest, React Testing Library and Playwright\n\nExperience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions. Strong transferable experience with GitLab CI or Jenkins will also be considered\n\nPractical professional experience using Docker and AWS for application deployment\n\nAbility to independently deploy frontend changes to production and troubleshoot deployment-related issues\n\nComfortable working across frontend and backend integrations, including APIs and services\n\nStrong problem-solving skills, technical ownership and the ability to work independently within a small engineering team\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience implementing or improving role-based access control (RBAC)\n\nExperience delivering measurable frontend performance improvements\n\nKnowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), including accessible colour schemes, tooltips and multilingual support\n\nExperience implementing server-side authentication patterns beyond AWS Amplify or .NET\n\nBroader full-stack engineering experience\n\nExperience contributing to product improvements and platform maturity\n\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools while independently reviewing and validating generated code\n\nWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
