The role provides independent assurance, identifies financial risks, and advises executive management on audit compliance, reporting accuracy, and risk mitigation\nThis role suits someone with a strong technical foundation who thrives in fast-paced, growth-focused environments and loves driving improvement and innovation.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nStrategic and Business Alignment\nFacilitate external and internal audits\nImprove visibility of financial reporting deadlines across the business to enhance planning and accountability\nDistribute a Quarterly Finance Digest to communicate key financial updates, business insights, and ongoing initiatives.\nFinancial Reporting and Compliance\nConduct independent evaluations of financial records and reporting systems to ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), Corporations Act, and statutory regulations.\nCalculate and raise accruals, provisions, and other journal entries required for accurate end-of-month (EOM) processing.\nProduce and fully reconcile monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements to ensure accurate and complete reporting.\nAssist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly results packs for CFO and Director review, highlighting key financial insights and variances.\nManage statutory reporting obligations and ensure all deadlines are met for each entity within the group.\nLead financial investigations, internal control audits, and risk assessment reviews, presenting detailed audit reports and recommendations to senior management and governing bodies.\nProvide independent assurance regarding the accuracy of financial statements, disclosures, and risk management frameworks across group entities.\nLiaise with external accountants across jurisdictions to ensure accurate and timely lodgement of all taxation obligations, including BAS, PAYGW, PAYG, Payroll Tax, and Superannuation (in coordination with the HR Manager).\nRespond promptly and effectively to external financial information requests as needed.\nFinancial Process Optimisation\nDrive standardisation, efficiency, and best practices across financial processes including invoicing, PO compliance, accruals, and reporting documentation.\nLead initiatives that leverage automation, offshoring, and AI technologies to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.\nMaintain and oversee a robust reporting calendar aligned with team capacity and cross-functional business needs.\nEnsure ongoing improvement in financial accuracy, tax compliance, internal controls, and reporting quality.\nCommercial Support and Business Partnering\nShare regular insights on DSO and cashflow with internal stakeholders to support improved working capital management.\nCommunicate key profitability drivers and opportunities for margin improvement with Finance and business teams.\nServe as a customer-focused financial partner, enabling stronger decision-making across internal and external stakeholders.\nChampion innovation and growth, driving adoption of new technologies, automation tools, and scalable financial practices.\nSupport and oversee post-acquisition integration activities, ensuring alignment of reporting structures and compliance frameworks.\nTo be a front running candidate ⭐\nBachelor of Commerce\nCA, CPA, or relevant professional accounting/auditing body membership\nMinimum 6 years of relevant full-time post-qualification experience in financial auditing and reporting (in alignment with visa nomination requirements)\nExperience with Xero and
