# Electrical Engineer

As our new Electrical Engineer, you will design, build, and test electrical and electromechanical systems for our Extract Energy heat-to-power technology and other innovative products incorporating shape memory alloys (SMA). We are looking for a hands-on engineer with experience in electrical hardware, power electronics, controls, and embedded systems who can independently take projects from concept through prototyping, testing, and production. You will have significant technical autonomy while collaborating with our multidisciplinary engineering team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, build, and test electrical and electromechanical systems incorporating SMA technology Design and integrate power electronics, including generators, motor drives, rectifiers, and inverters Design industrial electrical control panels, including schematics, component selection, and compliance with applicable CSA standards and ESA requirements Develop control and data acquisition systems (DAQ), integrating sensors, actuators, and feedback controls Design and test custom electronic circuits and PCBs, including schematic capture and PCB layout Develop embedded firmware and software for hardware control, data ac
