The engineering challenges span data integrations, high-performance APIs, distributed processing, data modeling, and analytics computation.\nThis is a backend-heavy role (90% backend, 10% frontend) for an engineer who enjoys reasoning about complex systems: how data flows through them, where performance bottlenecks emerge, how services behave at scale, and how architectural decisions affect reliability and maintainability over time.\nYou'll operate as a strong senior individual contributor, owning complex technical problems and influencing the architecture and engineering practices of the team.\nOur tech stack\nOur environment includes:\nNode.js and TypeScript\nRedis\nRuby on Rails and Sidekiq\nPostgreSQL\nDepending on the problem, you may also work with or encounter technologies and concepts such as Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, data warehouses, and distributed data-processing systems.\nWe don't expect candidates to have worked with every technology in our stack.
