Learn more about Engineering at Smartly.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead and develop an autonomous full-stack engineering team responsible for customer-facing AI and creative workflows.\nCoach engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, development planning, and hands-on technical guidance.\nGuide the team in delivering high-quality product outcomes, balancing customer needs, technical quality, and delivery priorities.\nPartner with Product and other engineering teams to define problems, make thoughtful trade-offs, and turn priorities into clear plans.\nStay close to the technical work through architecture discussions, code reviews, pair programming, and other forms of hands-on coaching when useful.\nRemove obstacles, improve ways of working, and create an environment where engineers can take ownership and do their best work.\nContribute to Smartly’s engineering culture by sharing practices, tackling challenging technical problems, and helping our organization continue to grow.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nExperience leading and developing software engineers, with a track record of building collaborative, effective teams.\nStrong software engineering experience across the development lifecycle and the technical depth to coach engineers and contribute to technical discussions.\nExperience building and operating large-scale, highly available web applications with an active user base.\nExperience working in a multi-team engineering organization and collaborating effectively across Product and Engineering.\nSound judgment around software delivery and development practices, including the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs while maintaining quality.\nStrong coaching and communication skills, including the ability to give constructive feedback that supports meaningful growth.\nA user-focused approach to engineering: you seek to understand customers’ needs and frustrations and use that understanding to guide product and technical decisions.\nAbility to work from our Mexico City office at least one day per week.\nWhat We Offer You\nAt Smartly, we offer a place where you can advance your career.
