As a member of the SmartOSC Data Science team, you will\nwork with some of the largest companies in the region to build the next generation of AI-\npowered enterprise applications. You will work directly with data scientists, AI engineers, and\nsubject matter experts to design and deploy AI capabilities that give our customers the\ninformation they need to make better decisions with a specific focus on solving supply chain\nproblems such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and replenishment.\nYou will identify the right AI approaches for each problem and implement them so they run\nreliably at enterprise scale. Qualified candidates will have deep knowledge of modern AI and ML\ntechniques including large language models, agentic systems, and classical statistical\nmethods – along with a clear understanding of their limitations and how to adapt them to large-\nscale production environments, and will bring real supply chain domain expertise to the table.\nResponsibilities\nLead the research, design, implementation, and deployment of AI models, agentic\nsolutions, and optimization algorithms for supply chain applications including demand\nforecasting, inventory optimization, and replenishment models.\nPartner with SmartOSC customers to build and scale supply chain AI solutions in their\nenvironments.\nContribute to the design and implementation of new AI/ML capabilities within\nSmartOSC’s Data and AI solutions.\nAnalyze model performance across deployments, diagnose issues such as forecast\nbias, poor recall, or false positive rates, and recommend targeted improvements.\nCollaborate with data engineers and subject matter experts from SmartOSC and\ncustomer teams to source, validate, and correctly leverage new data assets.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nMS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Operations\nResearch, or a related field.\nHands-on experience in data exploration, frameworks and MLOps using Python.\nSupply chain domain experience is mandatory – hands-on modeling experience in\nareas such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, replenishment, and related\nplanning problems.\nHands-on AI experience spanning generative AI, agentic systems, supervised and\nunsupervised learning, and classical regression and classification.\nStrong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.\nExperience building and deploying models at scale in distributed or cloud-native\nenvironments.\nSharp, motivated, and focused on making a real impact.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge in JavaScript, Java, or Scala is a plus.\nEither Conceptual or working knowledge in LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain,\nLlamaIndex), vector databases, or RAG architectures.\nExperience with supply chain planning systems (Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder, SAP\nAPO/IBP) or time-series forecasting libraries.\nA portfolio of AI projects (GitHub, publications, or open-source contributions) is a plus.\nBenefits\nAt SmartOSC, we offer the best to your values:\nAttractive salary package\nSalary review twice a year\nFlexible working hours (between 7:30am -
