And we're looking for people who want to work in a collaborative and fun environment to fuel our next wave of innovation.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nTake responsibility for defined mechanical design assignments for products, components, and assemblies, with guidance on more complex work.\nCreate and refine 3D models, assemblies, production drawings, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.\nApply product requirements, GD&T, and design-for-manufacturing principles to develop practical, production-ready designs.\nBuild and evaluate prototypes, support verification and validation testing, and use results to recommend design improvements.\nCoordinate defined onsite and longer-term testing activities, documenting results and communicating technical findings.\nTroubleshoot design and product issues, investigate root causes, and contribute practical solutions.\nPartner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve design and production issues and support product transition into manufacturing.\nContribute to design reviews and provide day-to-day technical support to junior team members.\nWHAT YOU BRING\nA practical, hands-on approach to mechanical design and a natural curiosity for understanding how products work and how they can be improved.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work through technical challenges, evaluate options, and recognize when additional technical direction is needed.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in designs, drawings, documentation, and testing.\nHands-on experience building and evaluating prototypes and supporting mechanical testing, verification, and validation activities.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and manufacturing teams and provide day-to-day support to junior team members.\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology.\n5-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering technology.\nRegistration or eligibility for the appropriate professional engineering or technologist designation in Manitoba.\nProficiency with SolidWorks or comparable CAD software, including experience with 3D modelling, assemblies, simulation and production drawings.\nWorking knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, design-for-manufacturing principles, and controlled design-release processes.
