This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who enjoys taking ownership of complex infrastructure, solving production challenges, and building systems that make development and deployment more efficient. You'll work closely with our engineering and product teams to maintain and improve our AWS environment, CI/CD pipelines, containerized services, and observability capabilities. We're looking for someone who understands what it takes to operate a production SaaS platform at scale and can balance immediate operational needs with long-term architectural improvements.\nWhat you will do\nAWS Infrastructure & Platform Engineering\nBuild, maintain, and optimize our production AWS infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, and security.\nManage infrastructure as code using Terraform, developing reusable modules and standardized configurations.\nOperate and improve AWS services including ECS, Lambda, VPC, S3, IAM, SQS, and CloudWatch.\nIdentify opportunities to optimize infrastructure performance, resource utilization, and cloud costs.\nCI/CD & Deployment Automation\nDesign, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines that support efficient, reliable software delivery.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, and operational processes to reduce manual effort.\nPartner with software engineers to streamline development workflows, improve deployment practices, and reduce release risk.\nSupport the implementation of deployment strategies that improve platform availability and minimize disruption.\nReliability, Monitoring & Security\nMaintain and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.\nTroubleshoot production incidents, investigate root causes, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.\nStrengthen infrastructure security through effective IAM policies, network configurations, access controls, and AWS best practices.\nSupport security reviews, compliance initiatives, and ongoing improvements to operational resilience.\nParticipate in a shared on-call rotation to support production platform reliability.\nEngineering Collaboration & Continuous Improvement\nWork closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot infrastructure challenges and improve application performance.\nIdentify and eliminate operational inefficiencies through automation and improved tooling.\nContribute to infrastructure architecture discussions and help establish scalable engineering standards.\nDocument infrastructure configurations, operational procedures, and technical decisions.\nTake ownership of infrastructure initiatives from planning through implementation and ongoing support.\nWhat you bring\n5-8 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure, with significant hands-on experience supporting production environments.\nStrong experience designing, managing, and optimizing infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nHands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, VPC, S3, IAM, SQS, and CloudWatch.\nProficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Terraform.\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.\nStrong working knowledge of Docker, containerized applications, and container orchestration, ideally AWS ECS.\nExperience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.\nProficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, Go, or Bash.\nExperience supporting production applications with demanding reliability, availability, and performance requirements.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure and application issues.\nA proactive ownership mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting a multi-tenant SaaS platform is strongly preferred.\nExperience with Kafka or other event-streaming technologies.\nFamiliarity with blue/green deployments, canary releases, and other advanced deployment strategies.\nExperience defining and monitoring service-level indicators (SLIs) and service-level objectives (SLOs).\nExperience with Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.\nBackground supporting enterprise software in regulated industries, particularly financial services or healthcare.\nFamiliarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar security and compliance frameworks.\nExposure to AI/ML infrastructure or event-driven architectures.\nAWS certifications or demonstrated commitment to continued technical development.\nPractical details\nBase Salary: $125,000 -
