This position is responsible for leading BIM and VDC activities for the company’s scope of work, including BAS and EPMS system panels, field devices, conduit, and raceway systems.\nThis is a remote/project-based role requiring approximately 50-60% onsite/project-site presence, working closely with field teams, project management, trade partners, and external design teams to maintain accurate, constructible models throughout the construction lifecycle. The BIM / VDC Engineer IV leads coordination efforts, drives issue resolution, supports field execution with real-time model updates, and helps ensure model accuracy from design through as-built turnover.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong technical BIM/VDC capability with field awareness, coordination leadership, and a proactive mindset for solving construction challenges quickly and effectively. This individual embraces innovation and applies new tools and technology to improve project delivery, communication, and model-based decision-making.\nThis person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nBIM Model Management and Trade Coordination (80%)\nLead BIM and VDC efforts for building automation and EPMS scope on assigned critical infrastructure projects.\nDevelop, maintain, and update project models for BAS and EPMS system panels, field devices, conduit, and raceways.\nLead integration of company scope into the project federated model in coordination with trade partners and project stakeholders.\nPerform clash detection and constructability review using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.\nDrive issue tracking, follow-up, and resolution of model conflicts affecting installation, access, coordination, or sequencing.\nCollaborate with project managers, field leaders, installation teams, and external designers to manage real-time model updates throughout construction.\nContribute to field issue resolution by validating constructability and helping align model content with installation requirements.\nMaintain model accuracy throughout the project lifecycle and support development of complete and reliable as-built conditions.\nHelp establish and improve BIM / VDC standards, workflows, and best practices across projects.\nReporting (20%)\nGenerate and maintain clash reports, issue logs, model status updates, and coordination tracking documentation for assigned projects.\nCommunicate model coordination priorities, open issues, and required follow-up actions to internal teams and trade partners.\nCreate visuals and exhibits to support construction logistics, project phasing, installation planning, and stakeholder presentations.\nProvide regular updates to project leadership on model progress, coordination status, field impacts, and risk areas.\nSupport documentation of as-built model completeness and turnover deliverables at project closeout.\nCompletion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget\nPerforms Other Related Duties as Assigned \nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS (ADVANCED LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)\nSkilled with Revit MEP\nSkilled with Navisworks\nSkilled using Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or BIM 360\nExperience with clash detection, model coordination, and federated model workflows\nAbility to interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and field installation conditions\nFamiliarity with laser scanning, point clouds, drone capture, or reality capture workflows preferred\nExperience producing construction visuals, sequencing plans, and presentation-ready graphics preferred\nKnowledge with building automation systems, scope, components and construction\nSkilled using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management \nSkilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail \nAbility to work successfully in a remote environment through effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace \nAbility to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation. \nAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information) \nAbility to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision \nAbility to work under pressure and meet close deadlines \nOrganizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe following physical demands must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
