Level II engineers work under the guidance of Senior and Lead SCADA Engineers and\nare expected to build strong technical fundamentals through a combination of remote development work and\ntargeted field learning.\nOn-site participation is purpose-driven and developmental, focused on understanding how systems are built,\ntested, and commissioned - not serving as primary field execution resources.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nSCADA Development & Configuration (45%)\nSupport development and configuration of SCADA systems in accordance with project requirements and established STC standards\nImplement HMI graphics, alarms, data models, and system logic based on defined design intent\nAssist in developing SCADA scripts, templates, and reusable components under guidance\nTranslate documented sequences of operation and control narratives into functional SCADA configurations \nPerform testing and validation of assigned SCADA components in development and staging environments\nProject and Field Learning Support (25%)\nSupport Senior and Lead SCADA Engineers across assigned projects\nParticipate in on-site activities during construction and commissioning phases to gain system and workflow familiarity\nObserve and assist with point-to-point checkout, system validation, and coordination with field and commissioning teams\nParticipate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and commissioning planning activities\nDocument observations, issues, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement\nTesting, Commissioning, & Troubleshooting Support (20%)\nSupport FAT, IST, and commissioning activities as directed, both remotely and on-site\nAssist with troubleshooting during commissioning and live system cutovers under supervision \nExecute test procedures and validate system behavior within assigned scope\nEscalate technical issues appropriately to senior engineers\nMentorship & Technical Growth (10%)\nActively develop technical skills in SCADA systems, control concepts, and system integration\nIncorporate feedback from senior engineers to improve execution quality and technical understanding\nContribute to internal documentation, standards updates, and knowledge-sharing efforts\nProgress toward increased independence in development and system ownership over time\nCompletion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget\nPerforms Other Related Duties as Assigned \nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\n2-4 years of experience supporting or developing SCADA or control systems in industrial, utility, or infrastructure environments \nFoundational understanding of SCADA concepts, control systems, and system integration \nExposure to one or more of the following: \no SCADA architecture fundamentals\no Alarm configuration and HMI/graphics development\no System integration and communications\no FAT, IST, commissioning, or field coordination activities\nAbility to execute assigned tasks independently with guidance and review \nStrong desire to learn systems holistically, including both field execution and development perspectives \nEffective communication skills and ability to work within cross-functional engineering and field teams \nWillingness to travel periodically for learning-focused field exposure\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe following physical demands must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of\nthis job.
