Senior SCADA Engineers\nare expected to work independently on complex scopes while escalating higher-risk architectural decisions as\nneeded.\nWhile predominantly remote, this role includes on-site engagement during critical milestones such as factory\nacceptance testing (FAT), integrated systems testing (IST), commissioning, and high-risk troubleshooting events.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nSCADA System Design & Development (40%)\nDesign and develop SCADA systems in accordance with project requirements and STC standards\nTranslate design intent, sequences of operation, and operational requirements into maintainable SCADA configurations, scripts, and logic\nDevelop SCADA code, templates, and reusable components as assigned\nConfigure alarms, graphics, and data models consistent with established architecture \nReview and refine SCADA implementations for performance, reliability, and consistency\nProject and Cross-Discipline Coordination (25%)\nCoordinate SCADA engineering efforts with Project Managers, Engineers, Field Leadership, and commissioning teams\nParticipate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and commissioning planning\nSupport integration with third-party systems, packaged equipment, and external vendors\nIdentify technical risks within assigned scope and propose mitigation strategies\nQuality, Testing, & Commissioning Support (20%)\nSupport FAT, IST, and commissioning activities as required\nPerform peer reviews of SCADA configurations and development work within assigned scope \nAssist with troubleshooting during commissioning and live system cutovers\nEnsure implementations align with standards, safety requirements, and design intent\nMentorship & Technical Growth (15%)\nProvide guidance and technical support to junior engineers as assigned\nContribute to internal documentation, standards, and best practices\nParticipate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives\nCompletion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget\nPerforms Other Related Duties as Assigned \nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\n4-6 years of experience engineering or developing SCADA systems in mission-critical, industrial, utility, or infrastructure environments \nDemonstrated experience designing and developing SCADA systems (not solely configuring HMIs) \nStrong understanding of: \no SCADA architecture and data modeling\no Alarm management and HMI/graphics philosophy\no System integration and communications\no Commissioning workflows, IST, and live cutovers\nAbility to independently execute complex SCADA scopes with limited oversight \nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders \nComfortable supporting multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe following physical demands must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of\nthis job.
