Come be a part of the leading edge of IoT innovation!\nSmartThings is looking for a Systems Administrator to support our IT networking infrastructure, manage hardware and software assets, and contribute to refining policies and processes.\nAs the go-to resource for the SmartThings team, you will manage our networking infrastructure, hardware, and software while delivering frontline support for internal tools and technologies. Beyond daily troubleshooting and user support, you will contribute to policy improvements, support technical research and development, and ensure our systems, software, and procedures remain aligned with organizational standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nThis is a hybrid role, based onsite 3 days a week at our office in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 6-month contract position, paying $42/hour with an expected work week of 40 hours.\nIn this role, your primary responsibilities will include the following:\nSupport and help maintain company-wide IT networking, communications, and infrastructure across multiple locations \nCoordinate with key stakeholders, including counterparts at Samsung, to help ensure access to key networks, tools, and infrastructure\nAssist with procurement and asset management for hardware and software, including installation and setup of infrastructure in support of multiple office and remote working situations \nSupport a highly mobile workforce, with a willingness and desire to test and explore new technologies and paths to efficiency \nHandle day-to-day IT support tickets and escalations, following established procedures \nHelp implement and maintain IT policies designed to ensure productivity while protecting and securing critical company assets \nWork with the People Team to support employee onboarding and offboarding processes \nContribute ideas for internal solutions that help the team scale efficiently \nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nInclusive Hiring Practices\n\nDon’t meet all desired requirements? You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.\nWhat You Bring On Day One (Required Skills)\nBachelor's Degree with minimum 2+ years of experience in corporate IT with hands-on exposure to networking, computing, and communications \nExperience installing software in multi-platform environments \nFamiliarity with IT ticketing systems (email, chat, phone) - installation, configuration, or day-to-day administration\nExperience with day-to-day maintenance and monitoring of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux), basic networking, scripting/automation, and application troubleshooting\nExposure to virtualization technologies \nFamiliarity with Identity and Access Management concepts (AD, LDAP, SSO)\n\nDesired Skills\nWorking knowledge of Okta, Atlassian, MDM, and Wi-Fi configuration preferred \nSmartThings Benefits\nWe offer a parking stipend to cover the monthly garage cost.
