In this role you will demonstratethe behaviors of thoroughness, resultsorientation, adaptability, tenacity, and initiative. You will be responsible forkeeping up to date with SOPs and current industry and regulatory guidelines and regulations. \nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCertify products and maintain active certifications with various 3rd party certification bodies and retailer registrations for USDA Organic, NSF, Non-GMO, CVS, Whole Foods, etc. \nStay up-to-date with changes to certification requirements and regulations, where applicable \nCreate and update SOP’s and forms, as required to maintain compliance \nInitiate continuous improvement projects to drive efficiencies and improve quality and compliance \nInform other departments on new regulatory developments in a timely manner \nCompose cover letters and summaries, assemble/format submissions, for external regulatory requests/requirements as necessary \nGenerate and report metrics related to certification status and quality control performance \nProvide support during internal and external audits, as needed \nEnsure all ingredients meet regulatory requirements and are approved for use in commercial production \nResearch regulations and guidelines to provide effective regulatory assessment of proposed changes to products and claims \nAd hoc duties as needed to support the team and projects \nCAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED\n3-5 years of regulatory and/or compliance experience in an FDA-regulated industry, dietary supplement experience is strongly preferred \nBachelor’s degree in a Scientific Discipline such as Chemistry, Nutrition Science, Biology, etc. \nMust have working knowledge and be current with cGMP’s and regulations \nExperience with certification management is a plus \nExcellent organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize assignments with a focus on internal and external customer service \nMeticulous attention to detail including excellent proofreading skills \nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written \nAbility to work collaboratively in diverse teams and peer relationships \nMust have advanced working knowledge of standard business software packages (Microsoft), including database management skills with ability to produce detailed reports \nConsistently demonstrates professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor \nAbility to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment \nTHE DETAILS\nLOCATION: El Segundo, CA (Remote)\nMANAGER:Director of Regulatory Affairs\nPLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. \nThe pay range for this position is $38-48 per hour dependent on experience.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3035,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Food & Beverages"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T04:13:17Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":1,"expected_fill_days":17,"reasons":["conf:3","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":96000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/smartypants-vitamins-temporary-certification-compliance-specialist","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/smartypants-vitamins-temporary-certification-compliance-specialist.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T06:52:11Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
