The role also supports overall accounting operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective financial control within the organization.\n\nJob Description\nMaintain accurate financial records by recording transactions, updating general ledgers, managing accounts receivable/payable, and performing reconciliations in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.\n\nOversee the full AR cycle, including invoicing, payment follow-ups, credit control, customer account reconciliations, and resolving billing discrepancies to ensure timely collection.\n\nSupervise and provide hands-on support to the General Ledger (GL), Treasury, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP) teams.\n\nManage company cash flow, ensuring timely collections, disbursements, and effective payment arrangements.\n\nPrepare and analyse financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.\n\nEnsure accuracy and timeliness in month-end and year-end closing activities.\n\nCollaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with procurement, payment, and claims submission processes.\n\nLead or support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.\n\nPrepare and review tax returns in accordance with relevant tax regulations.\n\nAssist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities.\n\nMonitor regulatory and accounting changes, ensuring timely adoption of best practices and compliance requirements.\n\nLiaise with internal and external stakeholders, including corporate offices, auditors, legal advisors, company secretaries, and financial institutions.\n\nUndertake special assignments, ad hoc tasks, and other responsibilities as required.\n\nJob Specification\nPossess at least ACCA, CPA, MIA certification or a recognised Bachelor's degree in Accounting.\n\nMinimum of 4 years’ experience in a Senior Accountant role.\n\nExperience in auditing is an added advantage.\n\nProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.\n\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and relevant regulations.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nDetail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities..\n\nMeticulous, self-motivated, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.\n\nLocation: Menara IGB Mid Valley\n\nAt Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
