Based in Newcastle, you will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to support the planning, design and delivery of road, highway and broader transport infrastructure across New South Wales and Australia.\nIn this role, you’ll combine your roads and highways technical expertise with strong project management capability, taking ownership of design packages and coordinating inputs across multiple disciplines to deliver integrated transport outcomes.\nIn this role, you will:\nDeliver road and highway design solutions across various stages of the transport infrastructure lifecycle.\nUndertake geometric design, corridor modelling, design development and technical reviews.\nManage defined packages of work, including scope, programme, budget, quality and technical deliverables.\nCoordinate across transport disciplines and multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.\nPrepare and review reports, specifications, design documentation and other technical deliverables.\nSupport project planning, resourcing, risk management and commercial performance.\nEngage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and support successful delivery outcomes.\nMentor and support Graduate and developing Engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight.\nContribute to business development, proposals and technical excellence initiatives across the Roads & Highways and broader transport business.\nAbout You\nYou are an experienced Roads & Highways Engineer with a strong understanding of the wider transport infrastructure environment and a passion for delivering practical, integrated design solutions. You enjoy combining technical engineering with project management, multidisciplinary coordination and client engagement, and are comfortable taking ownership of packages of work from planning and design through to delivery.\nWith experience across road and transport infrastructure projects, you thrive in a consulting environment and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of our Newcastle team and transport capability.\nYou will bring:\nA Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.\n8-12 years' experience delivering roads, highways and transport infrastructure projects.\nStrong experience in road design, geometric design and transport infrastructure delivery.\nDemonstrated project management capability, including management of scope, programme, budget, quality and project deliverables.\nExperience coordinating technical inputs across multidisciplinary transport projects.\nProficiency with relevant industry software, including 12d, OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D.\nStrong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Austroads guidelines and TfNSW design requirements.\nStrong communication, client and stakeholder engagement skills.\nAbility to mentor and provide technical guidance to developing Engineers.\nA strong commitment to safety, quality and commercially responsible project delivery.\nChartered status, CPEng or NER registration, or active progression towards achieving professional accreditation.\nPreferred: Experience delivering Transport for NSW (TfNSW) projects and familiarity with NSW transport infrastructure design standards, approvals and delivery requirements, alongside experience managing multidisciplinary design packages and project outcomes.\nDon't meet every requirement?
