The candidate will support the OFWM team in carrying out field activities and supervising the implementation of irrigation improvement works.\nCarry out field activities related to the OFWM team.\nAssist in the implementation and supervision of on-farm irrigation and water management works.\nConduct field visits to monitor work progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.\nCoordinate with contractors, and local communities during field activities.\nAssist in field surveys, measurements, data collection, and progress reporting.\nIdentify site-related issues and report them to the project management team.\nWith a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.\nSuitable applicants will have/be:\nTertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. B.Sc/BE in Agricultural Engineering, or a relevant discipline.)\nMinimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in irrigation or on-farm water management projects.\nPractical experience in OFWM-related field activities and irrigation infrastructure.\nGood understanding of agricultural water management and field implementation.\nStrong communication and coordination skills.\nSMEC is an equal opportunity employer.
