The role aims to bridge learning gaps, strengthen grade-level competencies, and improve student retention through child-centric and activity-based learning approaches. The Academic Facilitator will work closely with children, parents, schools, and community stakeholders to create an enabling learning environment and support children in achieving their full potential.\nKey Responsibilities\nAcademic Support and Classroom Facilitation\nConduct engaging and learner-centred academic sessions for students in Grades 6-9.\nPrepare weekly and monthly lesson plans aligned with project objectives and curriculum requirements.\nProvide foundational and remedial learning support to students based on their competency levels.\nGroup students according to learning levels and provide targeted support.\nUse activity-based and experiential learning methodologies to strengthen conceptual understanding.\nProvide individual mentoring and doubt-resolution support to students.\nAssessment and Learning Tracking\nConduct baseline, periodic, and endline assessments to monitor students' learning progress.\nAnalyse student performance and maintain individual progress records.\nMaintain student attendance, assessment records, and progress trackers.\nDevelopment of Teaching Learning Materials\nDevelop Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs), worksheets, activity kits, and classroom resources.\nDesign and adapt learning resources based on the needs of students.\nDocumentation and Reporting\nPrepare and submit monthly reports, case studies, success stories, and project documentation.\nCapture and share photographs and updates of classroom activities.\nMaintain records and support project MIS requirements.\nCommunity Engagement and Parent Participation\nConduct parent meetings and support community mobilisation activities to ensure regular attendance and retention.\nCoordinate with schools, parents, and community stakeholders to strengthen children's participation and academic progress.\nFacilitate awareness sessions on education, health, hygiene, child protection, gender sensitivity, and digital safety.\nProject Activities and Capacity Building\nSupport the organisation of important days, events, and project activities for the holistic development of children.\nParticipate in orientation programmes, training sessions, and review meetings organised by the project.\nEducational Qualification & Experience:\nGraduate in Science or Mathematics (Mandatory)\nB.Ed. preferred\nMinimum 3-5 years of teaching experience with students of Grades 6-9.\nExperience in remedial education, foundational learning, or community-based education programmes preferred.\nSkills & Competencies:\nTechnical/professional knowledge and skills: Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.\nCommunication: Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
