Smith ranks #1 among all global independent electronic component distributors at an annual revenue in excess of $10 billion. Specifically on the solar side, we’re in need of a Sales Assistant to process orders for brand new, PV panels, inverters, batteries, storage and more. This position is located in Albany, NY.\nProvide daily operational support to the sales team by managing RFQs, preparing formal proposals and ensuring data in the CRM is accurate and up-to-date\nLead the end-to-end administrative process for sales orders, including the creation and tracking of POs and SOs to ensure on-time fulfillment and customer satisfaction\nBe the primary liaison between sales, purchasing and operations to verify inventory availability, inspections and shipping timelines\nManage the onboarding of new accounts with excellent follow through and detail tracking\nMaintain proactive communication with existing customers regarding order statuses, tracking numbers and logistics updates\nEnsure all transactions adhere to Smith’s standard SOPs and trade requirements\nCompetencies\nMeticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage complex, multi-line-item orders without errors\nA proactive mindset to identify potential logistical bottlenecks before they impact sales processes\nExcellent Excel skills\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or two years in a sales support role\nLocation: Albany, NY\nCompensation: Estimated range is $55,000 -
