Join our team and help healthcare professionals keep critical medical equipment performing at its best.\nAs a Field Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing medical devices, supporting customers, and ensuring our equipment meets the highest quality and safety standards.\nThis is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with option for prolongation.\nWhat will you be doing?\nRepair and maintain Smith+Nephew equipment in line with internal procedures, corporate guidelines, and relevant industry standards.\nPerform preventative maintenance (PM) activities for customers with service contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.\nComplete training and certification programs to become qualified to service equipment across multiple product franchises.\nCarry out precision instrument servicing, including working under a microscope and sharpening surgical instruments.\nSupport the wider Service Engineering team in delivering and managing the preventative maintenance program.\nManage personal inventory levels, perform scheduled stock cycle counts, and contribute to effective inventory control.\nAssist Operations Leads and Service Coordinators with inventory management activities.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, hospital staff, and internal sales teams.\nEnsure service activities are completed efficiently, on time, and in a cost-effective manner.\nMeet and exceed individual performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).\nWhat will you need to be successful?\nPrevious experience in a technical repair, maintenance, service, or field technician role.\nExperience working with precision instruments and performing detailed tasks under a microscope.\nAbility to repair, maintain, and service equipment in line with internal, corporate, and external standards.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory and prioritize workload effectively.\nCustomer-focused mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.\nMust be able to operate company-provided car/van as needed to support field-based service activities and customer visits.\nWillingness to complete training and develop expertise across multiple product portfolios.\nYou.
