Duties may include designing components or subsystems, executing engineering testing of prototypes, conducting design reviews and creating project related documentation.\nWhat will you be doing?\nWork closely with managers to complete specifically identified internship projects\n\nPresent project conclusion to senior leadership\n\nCreate documentation as required by the Smith and Nephew Robotics Quality Management System\n\nStart Date: May 2027\nProgram Length: 12 weeks\nLocation: Pittsburgh, PA\nWhat will you need to be successful?\nEducation:\nMust be currently matriculated or within a year of matriculation in an accredited university as an undergraduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar field of study.\n\nMust be in excellent academic standing, with a 3.0 minimum GPA preferred\n\nExperience:\nPrevious applicable internship, part-time or apprenticeship experience is preferred\n\nCompetences:\nFamiliarity with 3D modeling software such as Solidworks\n\nFamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is preferred\n\nDemonstrated leadership experience with effective project management experience preferred\n\nStrong communication skills including technical writing, listening and speaking; ability to influence others\n\nHigh learning agility with the ability to analyze and synthesize data and then present it to senior leaders\n\nMust be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive project completion\n\nIndependent thinking and the ability to work within a team is required\n\nAbility to assess technical issues and develop solutions utilizing an analytical approach to problem solving\n\nRequires the ability to manage tight deadlines, multiple tasks, assignment changes, periodic heavy workload, rapidly changing technology, and dynamic business growth; time management and organization skills are a must\n\nYou.
