You'll work on meaningful projects, build valuable skills, and learn from experienced professionals at Smith+Nephew.\nAs a System Verification Intern, you'll help test and validate new products, working closely with engineering teams to ensure products meet quality and performance standards before reaching customers.\nWhat will you be doing?\nPerform a variety of tasks of verification testing for a surgical robotic product.\n\nDefine software or hardware verification plan. Determine sample sizes, creation, management and ownership of test plan and defect management.\n\nDesign new test method, supporting AI assisted test case development as well as building the automated testing platform for the surgical robotics.\n\nExecute verification testing (both manual and automated) for medical devices.\n\nSupport troubleshooting and root cause analysis of systems defects and enable R&D team to identify fixes.\n\nManages test equipment for test efforts, ensuring complete and accurate inventory along with production equivalence.\n\nPresent testing objectives and status at planning meetings.\n\nPlanned Start Date: May 2027\nProgram Length: 12 weeks\nLocation: Pittsburgh, PA\nWhat will you need to be successful\nEducation:\nMust be currently matriculated at an accredited university as an undergraduate majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Software or equivalent applicable engineering.\n\nMust be in excellent academic standing, with a 3.0 preferred\n\nExperience:\nPrevious applicable intern, co-op, part-time or apprenticeship experience is preferred\n\nPython experience is preferred\n\nCompetencies:\nDemonstrated leadership experience with effective project management experience preferred\n\nStrong communication skills including technical writing, listening and speaking; ability to influence others\n\nHigh learning agility with the ability to analyze and synthesize data.\n\nMust be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive project completion\n\nIndependent thinking and the ability to work within a team is required\n\nAbility to assess technical issues and develop solutions utilizing an analytical approach to problem solving\n\nYou.
