ERPs form the core of this ecosystem and are tightly integrated with best-in-class systems such as Salesforce, Windchill, Movemedical, Maestro, Ariba, Workday and many more. At S+N, SAP serves as our primary and strategic ERP platform, running 80% of our operations and revenue.\nWe are seeking an SAP Order Management Solution Architect to design and deliver SAP solutions and customizations aligned with business requirements, while supporting and preparing for our strategic transition to SAP S/4HANA. Therefore, this role is both strategic and pivotal, playing a key part in enabling Smith & Nephew's digital transformation and continued growth over the coming years.\nWhat will you be doing?\nThe Order Management Solution Architect is responsible for partnering with Business Process Owners to design and deliver Order to Cash solutions that meet business needs.\nThis role requires strong SAP OM/SD expertise, a solid understanding of complex multinational business processes, and experience delivering large-scale global SAP implementations.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong solution architecture capabilities with the ability to drive business value through standardized, scalable, and efficient processes.\nDefine enterprise integration architecture aligned with SAP roadmap (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP BTP etc.).\nCollaborate with business, functional, and technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into integration architecture designs.\nLead system integration architecture across SAP and third-party applications.\nDesign end-to-end integration solutions using: SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Orchestration) SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Open Connectors).\nEnsure integration scalability, high availability, and performance optimization.\nImplement security protocols (OAuth, SAML, certificates, encryption).\nProvide guidance during implementation and production support.\nTroubleshoot complex integration issues and Lead root-cause analysis and performance tuning.\nParticipates in SAP related projects (releases and/or rollouts) and conducts requirement gathering, fit/gap analysis, design and build activities.\nFocus on continuous improvement, keeping up with industry and proactively advising the business of new capabilities that can help them support the company’s growth and strategy.\nWhat will you need to be successful?\nEducation: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT or related subject preferred.\nLicenses/ Certifications: - SAP certification: SAP Certified Development / Integration certifications (SAP CPI, BTP etc.) - TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification - ITIL Qualifications\nExperience: At least 10 years of IT experience, with 8+ years in SAP architecture.\nThis role will be based in Pune, Hybrid- work model, 2 days working from office.\nLead the design, delivery, and governance of SAP solutions across global releases, rollouts, and transformation programs.\nProvide expert L3 support for Live countries and ensure stability, reliability, and optimal performance of business-critical SAP applications.\nGovern solution changes through Design Authority processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, global standards, and long-term strategic objectives.\nChampion continuous improvement and innovation by leveraging emerging SAP capabilities and industry best practices to enable business growth and transformation.\nHands-on experience with S/4HANA transformation programs and Experience in cloud integration and API-led architecture is advantageous.\nExperience in a full cycle of an ERP implementation based on a core solution and multi-country deployment.\nExperience in information systems, applications - including SAP (SD, MM, WM, PP, and FI/CO), and project management, preferably in regulated life science industry.\nFunctional knowledge within functional area of SAP ECC6 EHP-7 (or later) is a must, experience of HANA preferred. Experience in SAP BASIS/ABAP would be a plus.\nWorking experience in other MWs (BOOMI/SOA etc.) would be a plus. Experience in a regulated industry and/or medical device company preferred. Large transformational projects.\nStrong vendor and stakeholder management capabilities. Solid functional and technical expertise in SAP business processes and operating models.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
