This role works with both GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding processes and uses measurement tools and blueprints to complete assigned work accurately and according to established quality and safety requirements.\nThis position works under close supervision and follows established Smith+Nephew policies, procedures, safety practices, and workplace cleanliness standards.\nWhat will you be doing?\nOperate welding equipment, including GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) equipment, to support the fabrication of medical devices.\nPerform simple measurements using tools such as micrometers, angle finders, and calipers.\nRead and understand blueprints used in the fabrication and welding process.\nComplete required documentation in accordance with company policies, the Quality Manual, procedures, and applicable quality and regulatory requirements.\nFollow applicable FDA, QSR, domestic, and international standards and regulations.\nWork effectively in a team environment through clear communication, active listening, and participation.\nContribute to continuous improvement efforts related to products and manufacturing processes.\nFollow established safety and workplace cleanliness practices.\nMaintain welding equipment, tools, work areas, and company property, including performing simple maintenance as required.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nWhat will you need to be successful?\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nExperience\nPrevious welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.\nExperience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.\nSkills\nAbility to perform GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding.\nAbility to read and understand blueprints.\nAbility to perform simple measurements using micrometers, angle finders, and calipers.\nAbility to follow established manufacturing, quality, safety, and documentation procedures.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\nGood communication and listening skills.\nAttention to quality, safety, equipment care, and workplace cleanliness.\nYou.
