They will use their product knowledge and interface between technology and technical service as well as research to recommend the most suitable solutions for each customer.\nThey will work closely with the regional sales and programs teams as well as with customers to define requirements and deliverables for a successful solution implementation.\nThe network Solution Manager is part of the digital team, working closely with Sales, Products & Technology, Program Management, Service, Distributors, and overall business management to deliver successful pursuit outcomes. This role also requires deep engagement with 3rd party providers of software and hardware from time to time to develop a turnkey solution that complements our capabilities and expands the market share for Smiths Detection\nResponsibilities:\nPre-Sales Support - bids, tenders, and pursuits\nPrimary point of contact for technical information on digital products and solutions for bids and tenders\nProviding material and documentation support for tender submissions\nDesign and develop digital network solutions that meet customer requirements.\nResearch and recommend the most suitable solutions for each customer.\nProvide technical advice and guidance on digital network solutions.\nGenerate high level network, concept, and solution drawings\nGenerate high level scope statements and implementation plans for digital solutions\nProvide VM requirements documentation based on the site/solution requirements\nProvide HW requirements documentation and part numbers (if available) based on the site/solution requirements for cost estimation\nSupporting the Sales function to increase sales of security solutions including sales training, sales support, bid/tender support, customer presentations and developing the solution\nProviding SME into the business to all functions\nTranslating requirements into an architecture that forms the basis of a solution\nPrograms Support\nSupport programs is finalizing scope and implementation documentation for digital solutions\nGenerate network and solution diagrams\nSupport programs teams with technical discussions on the solution along with the customer\nSupport programs teams with engagement of 3rd party material and resource providers\nDefining prerequisites for solution deployment\nFacilitate and support the generation of matrix routing configuration\nSupport with SPOE tickets associated with digital solutions\nSupport in cyber security discussions and documentation associated with the deployment of digital solutions\nSupporting programs/projects in design, planning and governance\nInterfacing with R&D to resolve possible quality issues out of service’s scope\nPeer review network drawings, architecture and plans for project teams\nSolution and Market Feedback to business\nMonitor and analyze deployed digital solutions for their performance, relevant and suitability in an evolving environment\nDevelop and maintain the solutions from a products perspective\nDevelop and maintain relationships with customers and other key stakeholders.\nEnsure compliance with security, privacy, and industry standards.\nProvide new market and regulatory requirements information to the relevant product management teams\nInterface with customer community and key industry stakeholders to get feedback about products and lead the design of solutions to their security operations challenges\nProvide the link between technology/product lines and customers during the pursuit\nSupporting market research efforts, collecting information about potential markets, customers, and competitive products as well as the likelihood and risks of anticipated market developments\nDeveloping relationships with 3rd party suppliers and system integrators\nSupporting the selection of the most appropriate products- research and evaluate new technologies/products that could form part of a solution\nComplying with and ensuring compliance with company HSE policies\nDeveloping and maintaining relevant network documentation, including standardization of documentation for future use\n Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.\nDeep knowledge of Smiths Detection’s products and their capabilities\nKnowledge of security best practices and industry standards.\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills.\nAbility to work both independently and in a team environment.\nSignificant experience and in-depth knowledge in solution design\nKnowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and HTTP.\nLed or been an active participant in projects encompassing cross functional teams.
