Nuestras tecnologías benefician a millones de personas cada día: hacen que los viajes sean más seguros, apoyan la transición hacia una energía sostenible, permiten calentar y refrigerar nuestros hogares de forma eficiente y ayudan a mantener nuestro mundo conectado.\n Mechanical Engineer - Regional Engineering (Spain)\nAs an Engineer (Mechanical) within our Regional Engineering team in Spain, you will support the evaluation and processing of customer applications and engineering projects, helping develop reliable and technically sound solutions based on customer requirements and the John Crane product portfolio.\nWorking closely with experienced engineers, designers, Sales teams and international colleagues, you will contribute to engineering proposals, technical calculations, CAD documentation and customer-facing technical support.\nThis role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in rotating equipment and industrial applications while working in an international engineering environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview and process customer applications, requests and engineering projects.\n\nSelect suitable John Crane products, including mechanical seals, seal support systems, couplings and filtration solutions.\n\nPrepare engineering proposals, technical specifications and CAD documentation in line with customer requirements.\n\nPerform engineering calculations related to seal leakage, heat generation, balancing temperatures, flow rates and other rotating equipment applications.\n\nPrepare drawing office requests and collaborate with designers on general arrangement and detailed drawings.\n\nSupport technical investigations, failure analysis, troubleshooting and the resolution of engineering issues.\n\nReview non-conforming fabricated parts and support decisions regarding their acceptance or rejection.\n\nPrepare and deliver technical presentations to customers in cooperation with the Sales team.\n\nParticipate in retrofit projects, 3D scanning activities and technical training for employees and customers.\n\nCollaborate with global engineering teams and contribute to continuous improvement and the development of technical solutions.\n\n What We Are Looking For\nEducation: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering. Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred; Chemical Engineering may also be considered.\n\nTechnical knowledge: Understanding of rotating equipment, mechanical seals, pumps, compressors or hydraulic systems.\n\nRelevant experience: Experience with mechanical seals, pumps or related industrial equipment is a strong advantage. Experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, energy or other process industries is particularly valuable.\n\nCAD skills: Experience with Solid Edge or SolidWorks. Computational simulation such as FEA, CFD\n\nEngineering skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings, understand customer requirements and apply engineering principles to practical problems.\n\nLanguages: Fluent English and fluent Spanish, both written and spoken.
