Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Smiths employs approximately 16,000 colleagues in over 50 countries.\n Coordinate and manage commercial, framework agreement and contract pricing enquiries and providing timely and effective support to stakeholders.\nAdminister and maintain pricing within John Crane Pricing systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with established pricing policies.\nPrepare, publish, and distribute commercial, framework, partner, and customer price books.\nSupport pricing-related projects and initiatives, including pricing system and process rollouts, sales and product analysis, contract systemisation, and process improvements.\nPartner with Product Portfolio teams to ensure competitive and accurate pricing is maintained within John Crane pricing systems.\nAct as a key liaison between Sales, Product Management, Finance, Customer Service, and other functions on pricing and contract-related matters.\nProvide pricing and analytical support to Product Managers to aid decision-making and commercial strategy.\nAssist with data analysis, reporting, and governance activities to support pricing performance and business objectives.\nUndertake additional pricing, commercial, and project-based activities as required to support regional and global business priorities.\nDesirable\nExperience within B2B, manufacturing or engineering.\nExposure to Engineered To Order (ETO) configured products or quotation-based commercial processes.\nExposure to pricing or revenue management.\nExperience using SAP, Pricefx or another ERP/pricing platform.\nPython, SQL or other data analysis/programming experience.\nDegree or equivalent experience in a numerate/business discipline\nEHS REQUIREMENTS:\nAdditional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.\nComplete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals.\nLifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.\nFollow all environmental requirements consistently with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.\nComplete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements.\nPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able to sit for extended periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.\nMust be able to manoeuvre to all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing plant.\nMust be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds.\nMust be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.\nMust have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.\nMust be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, changing priorities and reassign priorities to completing assignments.\nMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.\nMust be able to respond to visual and aural cues.\n 2-3+ years of experience in Pricing, Commercial Analytics, Finance, Business Intelligence, Sales Operations, or a similar analytical role.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into clear business recommendations.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nExperience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar reporting and data visualisation tools.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across Sales, Product Management, Finance, Customer Service, and other business functions.\nStrong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.\nBachelor's degree in relevant discipline and a willingness to learn and develop expertise in business systems such as SAP, Pricefx, C4C, and other commercial platforms.\n With colleagues stretching across the globe, we are proud of our diversity.
