There's never been a better time to join Smiths.\nVisit us at - www.smiths.com\n Job Purpose:\nSmiths Group are seeking an IT Project Manager on a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract to lead and deliver the Flex-Tek Segregation of Duties (SoD) Controls Remediation Project, ensuring ERP access risks are identified, assessed and remediated through effective governance, stakeholder engagement and project management. The role is responsible for coordinating business, Finance, Internal Controls, IT, ERP application owners, and external specialists to implement sustainable access-control frameworks and strengthen compliance and risk management across the division.\nDuties:\nProject Management\nEstablish and maintain appropriate project governance, controls, plans, budgets, resources, risks and issue logs throughout the project lifecycle.\nLead project activities from initiation through to implementation and closure, managing scope, change requests and quality requirements.\nProvide regular project status updates and executive reporting, including remediation metrics, risk severity ratings and project readiness assessments.\nCoordinate internal and external resources to ensure successful project delivery.\nSoD Controls Remediation Responsibilities\nLead the Flex-Tek Segregation of Duties (SoD) Controls Remediation Project and coordinate stakeholders across Business, Finance, Internal Controls, IT, ERP Application Support teams and external vendors.\nAssess current ERP roles, user access profiles, privileged-access structures and conflicting transaction combinations against agreed SoD rules.\nFacilitate workshops with process owners to evaluate conflicts, root causes and remediation actions, developing a detailed remediation roadmap covering role redesign, user access removal, approval workflow improvements, privileged-access governance, compensating controls, testing, deployment and BAU transition planning.\nEnsure alignment between business requirements, technology solutions and internal control objectives.\n Skills & Experience Requires:\nEssential:\n8+ years of project management experience.\nMinimum 3 years' experience operating as a Project Manager.\nProven experience delivering ERP Security, Segregation of Duties (SoD), Identity & Access Management (IAM), Audit Remediation or Internal Controls projects.\nStrong understanding of:ERP role design\nUser access management\nPrivileged access controls\nJoiner/Mover/Leaver processes\nUser access reviews\nSegregation of Duties frameworks\n\nExperience working with cross-functional global stakeholders.\nStrong stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills.\nExperience managing project scope, risks, issues, budgets and timelines.\nAbility to challenge business requirements constructively and drive decision-making.\nExcellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.\nExperience leading internal and external project resources.\nDesirable:\nSAP, Epicor or other ERP implementation experience.\nExperience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nKnowledge of internal audit, compliance or risk management frameworks.\nExperience managing offshore and third-party consulting teams.\nExposure to SOX controls, governance and enterprise security frameworks.\nQualifications\nEssential:\nBachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.\nPMP, Prince2 or equivalent Project Management certification.\nDesirable:\nCertifications relating to Information Security, Audit or Risk Management.\nAgile Practitioner certification.\nERP Security or Identity & Access Management qualifications.\n Diversity & Inclusion:\nWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
