Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Smiths employs approximately 16,000 colleagues in over 50 countries.\n * Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues in Manufacturing\n* Act as liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering.\n* Create and maintain engineering & manufacturing documentation.\n* Lead and support projects focused on process improvement, quality control, and lean manufacturing.\n* Managing and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in alignment with corporate policies and procedures.\n* Generate routings.\n* Investigate labor variances and correct standards as needed.\n* Lead or support Capital Expenditure Projects.\n* Respond and implement process change requests as required.\n* Identify opportunity for productivity improvements related to equipment, methods of manufacturing and workflow enhancements and recommend and implement.\n * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.\n* 5+ years of Engineered to CNC manufacturing experience (machining, CNC lathes and mills).\n* Previous work in an ISO controlled work environment.\n* Experience writing quality variance requests.\n* Experience in a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment.\n* Demonstrated experience with cost reduction, quality improvement and throughput improvement projects.\n* Demonstrated project management experience and process improvements.\n* Ability to use Solid Edge software.\n* Experience with Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001), and Health & Safety (OSHA 18001) business management systems.\n* Experience with Haas and Mazak and associated tooling.\n* Hands on experience working in a production environment in a machine shop floor.\n* Detail oriented, problem solver.\nWith colleagues stretching across the globe, we are proud of our diversity.
