Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Smiths employs approximately 16,000 colleagues in over 50 countries.\n Job Purpose:\nLead and coordinate dedicated project teams in the delivery of projects, including sales, engineering, procurement, quality, Projects/EPC KAMs, Customers/OEMs, and others.\nPerform project risk evaluation throughout the entire project lifetime; identify issues jeopardizing a successful project completion at an early stage and initiate corrective actions.\nCoordinate the resolution of any technical or commercial conflicts which may arise at any stage.\nAct as John Crane's single point of contact to support the customer for post-order activity through to project delivery. Coordinate any post-delivery issue resolution.\nMaintain communication channels with the client.\nResponsibilities:\nFulfilment of customer contracts (deadlines, costs, objectives) and monitor project budgets closely.\nCreating and maintaining detailed execution schedules for each of the major projects that are your portfolio.\nAgreeing communication channels with the customer in relation to the different Project aspects.\nManaging timely and effective communication with the regional Stakeholders to ensure effective coordination.\nRegularly communicate with the involved parties and keep constant and updated communication with their various senior-level project management.\nAttending clarification/kick-off meetings and preparing and distributing relevant activity reports.\nWork with global and local procurement to ensure that any pre-procurement of long lead items is performed, inventory is maintained and managed, suppliers are performing to expectations, etc.\nIn conjunction with manufacturing operations, ensure the project is completed per the agreed customer schedule and budget. Develop and execute solutions when issues arise that might jeopardize either of these objectives.\nRecord project milestones, maintain records of project correspondence, and produce project close-out summaries, including cost analysis.\nSupport on Coordinating customer change requests to ensure optimal solutions for successful project delivery.\nLead frequent team calls to support project execution.\nProvide monthly reports on project status.\nManage quality incidents through eQMS and work closely with assigned incident managers to close the incidents in time and ensure RCA/8Ds are available where applicable.\nSupport process streamlining activities, ISO IQMs compliance, and support SES initiatives.\nOther project delivery initiative tasks as assigned.\n Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nDegree educated in a technical discipline. Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering preferred.\nMinimum 10 years experience in Project management, preferably in Oil and Gas / Petrochemical projects business.\nMust be able to read, interpret, and explain complex project specifications.\nAbility to achieve the agreed goals & objectives by constantly focusing on a set of priorities.\nExcellent communication, negotiation & presentation skills, both verbal and written.\nProper understanding of basic finance.\nStrong facilitation skills and experience in operating in a matrix environment and adept at swiftly reaching solutions and building consensus under tight deadlines.\nA PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a comparable credential is preferred, showcasing a solid foundation in project management methodologies and practices.\nExperience and knowledge in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma are preferred, highlighting a commitment to efficiency and continuous project optimization.\nGood knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including MS Project. Preferred experience with Project Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Teamcenter).\nStrong level of cultural awareness and capability to adapt behavior accordingly.\nFluent in English.\nTravel up to 15%.\nPlanning and Decision Making:\nAbility to make quick decisions regarding complex project issues, reducing risk to John Crane and the customer.\nDevelop specific project plans to ensure successful delivery.\nEmpower project team members to make quick decisions to keep projects on track.\nImpact and Scope:\nCritical project delivery role influencing the success of strategic, global projects.\nWorking with all regions, internal and external customers. \n With colleagues stretching across the globe, we are proud of our diversity.
