This is why we say that at Gastite, the system is the solution.\n Primary Responsibilities:\nThis position will be responsible for designing and developing products and product families\nOrganizes and leads stage-gate projects for new product development\nDevelops new products for residential and commercial construction industry\nCommunicates effectively with internal team members and customers\nEvaluates and designs products and processes for maximum performance, functionality, etc.\nProduces concepts and prototypes effectively through Solidworks, 3-D printing, machine shops, production teams, etc.\nCarries out laboratory testing for design verification and validation, product performance, etc.\nDemonstrates ability to translate business objectives into strategic and tactical project goals\nRelies on engineering logic and principles to plan and accomplish goals\nOperates in a manner consistent with the mission of the department and business\nUses a wide degree of creativity and latitude to accomplish tasks\nOccasional travel with overnight stays\nMeet all safety requirements\nSkills Required:\n3-D solid modeling CAD experience (preferably Solidworks)\nFinite element analysis experience (preferably Solidworks Simulation)\nMS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project\nKnowledgeable with manufacturing processes, materials science, laboratory and measuring equipment, technical drawings,\nProven ability as a self-starting, motivated leader\nProject leadership and teamwork\nAbility to manage projects from concept to market introduction\nProven ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks at one time\nStrong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills\n Education & Experience required:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) or related field\nMinimum 2 years In-tern, co-op or on the job experience\nEducation & Experience preferred:\nKaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques\n3-5 years prior and related experience\nSolidworks experience\n All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
