If you’re ready to accelerate the new energy transition through technology leadership,innovative solutions and service excellence, you'll fit right in.\n Key Activities:\nRFQ Handling (Pre-order Phase):\nInterpret and analyze project specifications not limited to Mechanical design, Instruments, site conditions, Pressure Vessels/Heat exchangers, Regulatory requirements, manufacturing specifications like Welding, PMI, painting, Inspection/Quality etc\nReview, prepare and record extract of customer / project specifications\nApplication engineering (Product selection and Sizing)\nMaintain activity and utilization Log / Tracker\nDriving standardization and cost database\nValidating and maintaining records of Application inputs\nTechno-Commercial offer Preparation and Approval (Pre-order Phase)\nPrepare and release P&ID, instrument hook up diagram, control narrative and logical diagrams\nPrepare and release Techno-Commercial proposal, Technical clarifications, Comments & Exceptions to customer\nPrepare and release Instrumentation and Components Datasheets for enquiry\nObtain, review, finalize and maintain records of techno-commercially aligned suppliers quotes for projects\nObtain, apply and maintain records of manufacturability, lead times and associated project specific plant costs\nPrepare and deliver timely competitive Techno-commercial offers to win Global strategic projects\nParticipating & Managing Technical Review meeting with Customer/EPC /OEM.\nChecking and Approving the techno-commercial quotations/proposals of sealant system\nPost-Order phase\nReview purchase order vs. quote and prepare order handover\nHandover techno-commercially aligned project scope & final supporting documents to post order (Engineering, Project execution etc.)\nParticipate in Project handover meetings to facilitate clear and clean order handover to execution Teams\nProviding Support on Techno commercial clarifications to execution teams\nSenior Engineer - responsibilities and expectations include:\nDeveloping, facilitate and Mentor less experienced engineers\nSupport System Improvement Strategy or Strategic initiatives in terms of Global Projects requirements/ customer expectations\nPreparation of executive report to communicate team’s efficiency and effectiveness\nCreate/update processes, procedures, documentation and knowledge bank\nSupport developing product literature and training materials.\nTo cover for Senior Supervisor in his/her absence\nKey Accountabilities:\nTo meet and exceed the business expectations in terms of quality, cost and delivery.\nTo deliver accurate and timely techno-commercial offer & support to internal stakeholders.\nAdhere to company policies and procedures. \nTo actively contribute to Continuous improvements\nTo Support VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering), NPD (New Product Development) & R&D initiatives\nResponsibilities:\nGood techno-commercial and contractual aptitude and orientation\nGood analytical skills and Quick learner\nHighly target driven\nCustomer service and business oriented\nSolution oriented with Customer/Vendor\nAbility to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities and work in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to anticipate any potential issues and drive with contingency and mitigation plans\nTeam player with well-developed interpersonal skills\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\n Skills and Experience:\nA Bachelor (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (Mechanical / Chemical/Instrumentation) with 8 + years’ experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions. \nThorough knowledge in interpretation of customer and project specification (OEM, EPC and End user)\nStrong application and detailed engineering knowledge of mechanical seal Support Systems (API -Piping Plans) or similar fluid control systems products (like Lube oil Consoles or Oil Lubricating Systems or Pre-jacking systems, HP-LP systems or Filtration units etc,) for applications in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Steel, Chemical industries\nExperience in sourcing, vendor quote alignment (Techno-commercial) are preferred\nExperience in piping equipment fabrication supervision or quality management will be an added advantage\nHands on experience in selection of Pressure, Level & Temperature instruments and preparation of Instrument specifications are preferred\nWorking knowledge with API 682, API 610, API 614, ASME / ANSI Piping and pressure vessels standards are preferable.\nKnowledge of Electrical Enclosures for Hazardous Area Classification and Mechanical Protection requirements are preferred\nWork experience in Pumps and Compressors skids engineering will be an added advantage\nFunctional experience in basic CAD tool (like Solid Edge) is expected\nKeyMetrics:\nQuality of Techno-commercial offer.\nOptimized clarification/deviation list.\nCompetitive cost and drive winning strategy.\nCompany guideline compliance for lead time.\nDevelopment of Mentees\nStrategic Initiatives\n Leadership Behaviors:\nInnovates for impact\nTake accountability & ownership\nDelivers results at pace\nLeads inclusivity and empowers\nDevelops self and others\nLives Smiths values\nSets vision to inspire\nWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
