These may include customer GA’s, detail (Manufacturing) drawings, proposal drawings, sketches or component design and other site technical office support activities. All work is expected to be managed to agreed targets and be of the highest possible standard (error free design).\nResponsibilities:\nReviewing the Drawing Office requests, establishing design requirements\nPrepare Error Free General Arrangement and Manufacturing drawings in Solid Edge\nTo execute quality self-checks for General Arrangement and Manufacturing drawings\nProcess Global Change Notification\nMaintain and submit monthly performance report to Supervisor\nPerform other duties as required in support of John Crane business objectives as set forth by Supervisor\nTo meet and exceed the business expectations in terms of quality, cost and delivery\nBuild and maintain good rapport with respective site technical offices to meet their business requirements\nTo use Engineering tools and perform basic Engineering calculations as required\nTo promote and ensure “First Time Right” culture throughout the Drawing Office activities\nShould actively contribute to Continuous Improvements in their day-to-day work\nAdhere to company policies and procedures\nConduct Root Cause Analysis and prepare Corrective Actions according to SCAT (Systematic cause analysis technique)\nTo maintain designated records in-line with IMS requirement\nTo deliver accurate and timely drawing design support for Global Engineering and various site technical offices across countries\nSupport Global Engineering strategic initiatives as required\nPromote a positive work environment and culture in accordance with the ‘Smiths Values’\n Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nShould have 1-2 years of relevant experience (in Design office which deals with precision components and assemblies)\nWorking Experience in any CAD software preferably Solid Edge (3D and 2D).\nShould have basic knowledge of Engineering Design and Manufacturing techniques.\nCommitted to continuous improvement and attitude to learn from own and other's mistakes.\nShould be able to plan and prioritize work and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.\nCommitment to work with systematic approach and adhere to company's processes and procedures.\nBasic application knowledge of Fits and Tolerances and GD&T symbols in Design.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
