Our team of mechanical and aftersales experts built, through the last 10 years, a service level quality that we are all proud of.\nIn order to strengthen our Finance department with additional expertise, we are currently looking for a \"Senior Group Reporting & Consolidation Specialist \" for our office in Brussels.\nIf you are passionate about Africa and Finance, this position is for you!\nResponsibilities\nAs Senior Group Reporting & Consolidation Specialist, you will take ownership of the Group consolidation process and support the production of accurate monthly and annual financial reporting.\nYou will act as a key business partner for local finance teams across Africa while helping strengthen reporting processes, financial governance, and data quality across the Group.\nFinancial Consolidation & Reporting\nLead monthly and annual consolidation activities ;\nConsolidate the financial statements of more than 20 legal entities into Belgian GAAP standards ;\nPrepare and maintain consolidation schedules and supporting documentation ;\nAnalyze consolidated financial performance, balance sheet movements, and cash flow variations ;\nFinancial Data Quality & Reconciliation\nPerform validation checks on financial data before consolidation ;\nManage intercompany reconciliations and elimination processes ;\nInvestigate reporting discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with local finance teams ;\nAudit & Financial Controls\nSupport internal and external audit activities ;\nPrepare requested documentation and financial information ;\nMaster Data Governance & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting standards ;\nMaintain Chart of Accounts mappings and reporting structures ;\nManage finance master data across related systems ;\nSupport finance users on reporting tools and financial systems ;\nMaintain reporting procedures and documentation.\nProfile\nMaster’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ;\n8 to 10 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, accounting, or financial controlling ;\nFluent French and English are required ;\nProven experience working in an international and multi-entity environment ;\nExperience with ERP and consolidation tools is highly desirable ;\nAdvanced Excel skills ;\nExperience with LucaNet, Microsoft Navision, and/or Business Central is a strong advantage ;\nSolid analytical and financial modelling capabilities ;\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills ;\nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work across cultures and countries.\nWhy Join SMT Africa?\nA competitive and motivating package aligned with your profile\nA strategic role with exposure to Group-level decision-making\nA challenging international environment covering multiple African markets\nA collaborative culture built around expertise, ownership, and continuous improvement\nThe chance to make a direct impact on the performance and financial governance of a growing\nOur values\nOur way of working as a professional community, can be best described as Caring, Daring and Sharing.
