This role serves as a key technical resource supporting product quality, process effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.\nWorking cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and customers, the Quality Engineer leads quality planning, risk management, root cause analysis, corrective action activities, process validation efforts, and compliance initiatives within a high-reliability electronics manufacturing environment.\nEssential Functions:\nLead quality planning activities to ensure products, processes, and manufacturing operations comply with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality objectives.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve quality documentation including Control Plans, FMEAs, inspection plans, quality procedures, and related quality system documentation.\nLead investigations involving customer complaints, quality escapes, nonconforming products, supplier quality issues, and manufacturing defects utilizing structured root cause analysis methodologies.\nDevelop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to eliminate recurring quality issues and improve process performance.\nAnalyze quality performance metrics, yield data, defect trends, customer scorecards, and operational KPIs to identify risks and improvement opportunities.\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including quality planning, risk assessments, process validation, product qualification, and manufacturing readiness reviews.\nLead and support process validation, equipment qualification, measurement system analysis (MSA), and statistical studies to ensure process capability and product conformity.\nCollaborate with customers, suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to resolve quality concerns and support program objectives.\nSupport supplier quality activities including supplier corrective actions, quality issue resolution, supplier performance monitoring, and supplier audits as required.\nSupport compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards through audits, assessments, and quality system activities.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and quality engineering methodologies to improve quality, reliability, and operational performance.\nProvide technical guidance regarding quality requirements, risk management activities, quality engineering tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nCompetencies:\nQuality Engineering: Ability to develop, implement, and improve quality systems, processes, and methodologies that support product and process quality. \n Problem Solving: Ability to lead root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and resolve complex quality issues. \nRisk Management: Ability to develop and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, and other risk management tools that support product and process quality. \nQuality Data Analysis: Ability to analyze quality metrics, process capability, yield data, defect trends, and statistical information to support data-driven decisions. \nProcess Validation: Ability to support process validation, equipment qualification, and manufacturing readiness activities. \n Measurement System Analysis (MSA): Ability to evaluate measurement systems to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility. \n Statistical Process Control (SPC): Ability to apply SPC methodologies to monitor and improve manufacturing process performance. \nContinuous Improvement: Ability to lead Lean, Six Sigma, and quality improvement initiatives that improve operational performance and customer satisfaction. \nCustomer Quality Management: Ability to support customer quality requirements, resolve customer issues, and maintain customer satisfaction. \nRegulatory Compliance: Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485, customer requirements, and regulatory standards applicable to quality engineering. \nProject Management: Ability to manage quality engineering projects, prioritize work, and support successful implementation of quality initiatives. \nCross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and customers to achieve quality objectives. \nTechnical Proficiency: Proficiency using ERP systems, quality databases, statistical analysis software, and Microsoft Office applications.\nQualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred\nCertifications:Required:\nAS9100 Internal Auditor Certification\nISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification\nISO 13485 Internal Auditor Certification\n Preferred:\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)\nASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher\n\n Experience:Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience supporting electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defense, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing industries preferred.\nExperience with FMEA, Control Plans, CAPA systems, Root Cause Analysis, Process Validation, and Statistical Process Control methodologies.\nExperience utilizing quality engineering tools including DOE, MSA, SPC, capability analysis, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and technical documentation.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, ERP systems, quality databases, and statistical analysis tools.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based work. \nAbility to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment for prolonged periods. Duties may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, computer-based work, and occasional lifting or movement of materials consistent with job responsibilities.
