This position leads the development of scalable analytics platforms, reporting solutions, data models, governance practices, and decision-support capabilities that enable timely, consistent, and reliable business insights.\nThe Sr Business Analytics Developer partners with executive leadership, Information Technology, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, Human Resources, and other functions to establish enterprise metrics and translate business needs into actionable analytics solutions. This position leads business analytics personnel and resources, establishes development and governance standards, manages the analytics portfolio, and promotes effective use of data throughout the organization.\nEssential Functions:\nLead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise dashboards, reports, analytics products, and decision-support solutions.\nEstablish governance for enterprise metrics, key performance indicators, business definitions, semantic models, report certification, and analytics ownership.\nPartner with business and executive leaders to identify analytics needs and translate them into prioritized, scalable, and sustainable solutions.\nLead analytics architecture and platform recommendations in partnership with data architecture, application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other IT resources.\nEstablish standards for analytics development, data visualization, testing, documentation, security, deployment, maintenance, and life-cycle management.\nEnsure analytics solutions use accurate, complete, consistent, timely, and appropriately governed data.\nManage the analytics project portfolio, including intake, prioritization, resource allocation, schedules, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments.\nEstablish performance measures for analytics adoption, service delivery, data quality, report usage, user satisfaction, and business value.\nLead the development of self-service analytics capabilities while maintaining appropriate controls, security, governance, and technical support.\nEvaluate emerging analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, cloud, and data-visualization technologies and recommend appropriate investments.\nDevelop analytics talent and organizational capability through workforce planning, coaching, training, performance management, succession planning, and knowledge sharing.\nEstablish and maintain process standards, procedures, controls, performance metrics, and governance requirements for the assigned area.\nLead cross-functional coordination to clarify responsibilities, align priorities, resolve issues, and ensure consistent process execution across teams or locations.\nMonitor process performance, compliance, risk, and data integrity; identify gaps and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.\nServe as the subject-matter resource for the assigned area, providing guidance, training, and recommendations while influencing stakeholders without direct supervisory authority.\nCompetencies:\nAnalytics Strategy: Develops an enterprise analytics strategy that supports organizational objectives, operational performance, and informed decision-making.\nBusiness Intelligence Leadership: Leads the development and support of dashboards, reporting platforms, analytics products, and self-service capabilities.\nData Governance: Establishes accountability for metrics, definitions, ownership, quality, access, certification, lineage, and appropriate data use.\nAnalytics Architecture: Understands data warehouses, data models, semantic layers, integration patterns, cloud platforms, and reporting technologies.\nData Visualization: Ensures dashboards and reports communicate complex information clearly, accurately, and effectively.\nBusiness Process Knowledge: Understands how finance, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, sales, human resources, and other functions use data.\nPortfolio Management: Prioritizes analytics requests and investments based on business value, strategic alignment, risk, effort, and resource availability.\nData Quality Management: Establishes processes and accountability for identifying, measuring, resolving, and preventing data-quality issues.\nTechnology Evaluation: Assesses analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, cloud, and data-platform technologies for business value and technical fit.\nCybersecurity and Data Protection: Integrates access controls, confidentiality, privacy, export-control, retention, and security requirements into analytics solutions.\nStrategic Decision-Making: Uses quantitative and qualitative information to evaluate alternatives and make sound recommendations.\nExecutive Communication: Presents complex data, risks, insights, and recommendations clearly to executive and nontechnical audiences.\nCross-Functional Influence: Builds alignment among business functions, technical teams, site leadership, and external partners.\nPeople Leadership: Develops employee capability through clear expectations, coaching, feedback, performance management, and succession planning.\nChange Leadership: Promotes analytics adoption and helps the organization transition toward consistent, data-driven decision-making.\nQualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, data science, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. Master’s degree in business analytics, information systems, data science, business administration, or a related field preferred.\nCertifications:Lean Manufacturing Certification beneficial\nSix Sigma Green Belt or higher beneficial\nIPC certifications beneficial\n\n Experience:Eight (8) or more years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data engineering, reporting, or a related discipline required.\nExperience developing and executing an enterprise analytics or business intelligence roadmap. \nExperience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Qlik, or comparable technologies required.\nAdvanced experience with SQL, data modeling, data warehouses, data lakes, semantic models, ETL or ELT processes, and enterprise reporting required.\nExperience with modern programming languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or comparable technologies required.\nExperience developing APIs, EDI connections, microservices, database solutions, and enterprise-system integrations required.\nExperience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other enterprise database platforms preferred.\nExperience establishing data governance, metric definitions, report-development standards, and analytics intake and prioritization practices required.\nExperience with data subject areas from: ERP, MRP, MES, PLM, finance, HR, supply chain, quality, or other enterprise systems strongly preferred.\nExperience leading analytics within a multi-site manufacturing or other operationally complex organization preferred.\nFamiliarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, and process automation preferred.\nFamiliarity with ITAR, CMMC, cybersecurity, privacy, and regulated-data requirements preferred.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based work.\nAbility to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment for prolonged periods.\nAbility to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication methods.\nAbility to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift office materials up to 25 pounds.\nAbility to visually review documents, reports, spreadsheets, and computer displays with or without corrective lenses.\nAbility to move throughout office and production areas as business needs require.\nMental Requirements:\nThe employee is required to exercise sound judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a professional business environment.\nThe role requires the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, manage competing deadlines, interpret and analyze information, and make decisions consistent with organizational objectives.\nEmployees must effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, maintain confidentiality where appropriate, and adapt to changing business needs.\nThe position requires sustained concentration, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy.\nWork Environment:\nWork is performed in a professional, climate-controlled office setting with exposure to standard office noise levels and lighting.
