Guided by our values of safety, loyalty, integrity and respect, we are committed to delivering meaningful value for shareholders, customers, employees and the communities where we operate.\nThe Opportunity\nThe Die Cutter Operator is responsible for the overall production of the machine and quality of the work produced.\nHow you will impact Smurfit Westrock\nSet up and operate the die cut machine.\nCutting matrix, mapping the die & help with make ready\nLoad die in the machine, line it up, bolt it in place and lock it down\nFeed machine at speed\nLearning the skills necessary to operate assigned machinery.\nResponsible for prepping machine for the next production run, sheets, dies, etc.\nEvaluate production quality; bring concerns to the appropriate supervisor.\nAssist in training other die cut personnel.\nTroubleshoot production issues that may arise.\nResponsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.\nWork in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nOvertime is required. \nPerform other duties as assigned\nWhat you need to succeed\nHigh School diploma or GED minimum.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should have proficient Microsoft Office computer skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel.\nMust have prior die cut experience.
