We currently have an opening on steady nights - Monday to Friday. Shifts are subject to change based on business needs.\nAll successful applicants must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal background check and pre-employment medical.\nJob Duties:\nTroubleshoot problems on plant equipment and facilitate and determine maintenance requirements. Ability to go to root cause of problems. Perform proper follow-up on repairs to implement long-term solutions. \nAssist with machinery breakdowns on plant equipment, facility, and building. Ability to determine the need for temporary solutions or permanent solutions based on time constraints given by production.\nMaintain preventative maintenance programs and ensures regular checks and lubrication on all equipment.\nAssist Maintenance Department with maintaining operation of the boiler systems, heating, steam, and energy supply.\nAssist in minor electrical repairs and reset safely.\nAssists with the installation of plant equipment and occasionally assists in equipment design.\nKnow what fits are required for various services, including antifriction bearings and be able to make such fits.\nBe able to handle heavy equipment safely and have knowledge of foundation work.\nAssists in the development of the plant occupational health and safety program.\nWhat you need to work at Smurfit Westrock:\nHigh school diploma\n3rd or 4th year millwright apprentice - enrolled in Industrial Millwright/Mechanical course and pursuing Certification of Industrial Millwright 433A license\nExperience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset \nTechnical knowledge\nPositive, can-do attitude/Initiative\nPhysically fit\nAble to work steady night shift - Monday to Friday\nAble to work overtime as required.\nWhy work with Smurfit Westrock: \nStarting wage $34.68/hour\nBenefits from first date of hire\nPension plan after six months of employment\nCelebration lunches and BBQ’s\nAn Employer that cares about health and safety\nSmurfit Westrock training opportunities\nA management team committed to Smurfit Westrock's values \nAn employer that cares about health and safety\nThis posting is for an existing job vacancy.
