The job will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts, and repairing equipment.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nThe associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:\nModify, maintain, or repair electrical, electronic, or mechanical components, equipment, or systems to ensure proper functioning.\nInstall or program computer hardware or machine or instrumentation software in microprocessor-based systems.\nConsult with mechanics to ensure that electromechanical equipment or systems meet design specifications.\nRoutine preventative maintenance of high-speed production equipment \nTroubleshooting and repair manufacturing and production equipment to minimize line downtime and optimize production quality and efficiencies.\n Carry out PLC troubleshooting and programming changes as required.\n Participate in continuous improvement projects and complete assigned work orders according to PM schedules to improve equipment efficiency, reliability, and safety.\n Involve with equipment installations and modifications as required.\n Work in a safe manner ensuring all safety procedures are followed ensuring compliance with legislation and technical standards.\nReport any issues to maintenance planning coordinator immediately. \nMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices and use of personal protective equipment. \nAdhere to food safety and GMP requirements while performing maintenance tasks to ensure safety and quality. \nAdvise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.\nTest electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.\nPlan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.\nPrepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.\nPlace conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.\nWork from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.\nElectric and automation troubleshooting and installation. \nPerform other assigned duties.\nFollow Health and Safety rules and regulations.\nMust follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.\nComply with all Company policies and procedures.\nQualifications\nDemonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.\nMust currently possess a valid Electrical license in the province of Ontario (309A or 442/Red Seal). \nUnderstanding of Ontario Electrical Safety Code and workplace safety standards.\nThorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.\nExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.\nPLC programming knowledge required.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nWorking conditions\nWork indoors.\nMay be exposed to hot temperatures from ovens.\nMay work close to others, usually within a few feet.\nCompliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.\nPhysical requirements\nStanding involved.\nMay repeat the same movement.\nOften wear safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, steel toed safety shoes/boots and beard nets.\nAbility to bend or twist their body.\nMust be able to lift up to 50lbs.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nAt Snackruptors Inc, we truly care about our employees and are committed to their well-being and growth.
